Business Travel

The hotel is spacious and easy to access. I like the Italian restaurant located outside of the parking lot.

More like a motel

Just seems old and dated. The carpet and furniture was stained. Housekeeping half made the bed and the 27 inch tube tv's reception was fuzzy. I got the hotel on special for $45/night so U didn't complain otherwise I would have been more than unsatisfied

So disappointed

I have really needed a vacation for a long time. I read the reviews on the met and thought it would be a nice, inexpensive night away from home and we really wanted to go swimming. I was so looking forward to the relaxing dip in the heated pool. We headed right down to the pool as soon as we checked in. After jumping in we realized, it was not heated. It was soooo cold we couldn't stand it. They must have just refilled it with cold water. There was no sign, but after complaining to management we learned that the heater was broken. In the morning we planned to head down to the yummy buffet breakfast that they advertised on the flyers in the room. We were told that they no longer served breakfast because their subcontractors had left and they didn't know when they would have it again. Maybe they should stop advertising then...

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

High end shopping is right down the road. Normal mall is just a few miles further.

Could easily be so much more

A nice easy to find facility just off the 75 freeway. Lots of parking. It was a great value but they failed on several levels. Housekeeping saved me $5 a day on four of the days by not cleaning and picking up the tip on my pillow. If you aren't out the door by the time housekeeping comes by (one day at 1120, and two others before 1030#, don't expect your room to be cleaned. The room was clean upon arrival then was only cleaned twice after that on a six night stay. One day I left an empty toilet paper roll and rod on the bathroom counter and when I returned that evening the empty rod had been replaced. And that was one of the two days I recieved cleaning service. Three times I had to go down and get fresh towels. On the fourth day the unoperable refrigerator was finally replaced. Everybody I spoke with was very pleasant, just not necessarily effective. My room was very spacious and comfortable. The pool #50x25) and gym are very nice but undermarketed ammenities at the property. This property has sooooo much potential, just needs either more personnel or more personnel that care.

Good deal

Interesting place -- a former Hilton in a downturned business park. Sculptures, nice beds, but fraying on all the edges.

Great for the price

While it is a bit run down, this hotel is truly a bang for it's buck. It is perfectly located right off the interstate and is surrounded by great cities. Would go again!

You get what you pay for

This was not the best experience ever. The hotel is old and needs work. The hallways are pretty dinghy and smelled funny. The room was ok and the bed was comfortable but after being out all day we returned to find that the maid had taken all the towels and did not bother to replace them! One morning my husband went down to the pool and it was closed. He saw a maintenance man there and asked if the pool was closed, the man said it was and when my husband asked what time it would be open, the man just shrugged. We were never greeted by any staff at this hotel and were left with the feeling that nobody there really cared if you ever came back or not. We didn't complain but agreed that we would never stay at this hotel again. It was inexpensive and I guess you get what you pay for.

Wedding Location

I got an unbelievable deal on this hotel and the room was totally acceptable. I just have 2 issues I was unhappy with. First, the front desk staff did not always answer the phone. Then, when we requested a cot for our room we were told they do not allow cots in the double rooms because it is a fire hazard. That issue may not have totally been their fault but I've been in smaller hotel rooms w/ far much more furniture. The cot would have fit without creating a hazard.
