Try and find a better hotel for less.

Was in town on business for a couple of nights. For the incredible low price , There are zero complaints! Has an excellent pool, fitness room, and a sauna. Nice business office with copier/scanner/printer/ computer with internet. Comfortable king bed, huge room, very friendly staff. Free wireless internet in the room. If you want a quiet place to sleep in a large comfortable hotel, The Met is the place! Very close to any food/shopping you could wish for. Will stay with them again!

Met Team strikes out

First, they put us in a room that was drying out via large fan and a dehumidifier hooked up to an extension cord in the middle of the room. Next , they put us in another room it had no clothes hangers, the tub's drain didn't work, two days (out of five) the plastic door keys would not work. First floor ice machine not working for days.

Has potential, but sorely lacking detail

We had reservations for three rooms, and checking in was quite lengthy, trying to get three rooms next to each other. This was puzzling, since it looked like we were the only quests that night, by looking at the parking lot! Two of three rooms lacked towels and any toiletries, no tissues, and no laundry bags. Our room had a closet door that jumped off the tracks when slid open. There were no hangers or hanger rod in this closet. The bedside phone had speed-dial numbers for the front desk, room service, etc. but they didn't work, and the phone did not have the room number or main number printed. We called asking for towels and amenities. They did not arrive for 20 minutes. There was no welcome package with nearby food places, etc. in the room. We called asking for laundry bags. We were told they would be delivered by morning. They never arrived. The security door chains were so flimsy, a slight push would have popped them off the door frame. Overall, the Met has some potential, but needs to focus on the simple details that guests expect in a higher-class hotel.

MET Hotel Troy MI

Stayed at hotel to visit friends. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. During check in we asked if there was a restaurant and they stated yes but did not have a menu available but stated they have standard breakfast. Once we went downstairs for breakfast we found a continential breakfast of muffins with everything wrapped and packaged-not the truth of what was stated at check in. The desk also tried to charge an extra 5.00/day fee for parking, internet, pool and workout room. Even if you do not use these emenities they still try to charge you. On the weekends they rent out the downstairs that has an open design to all the rooms. We had screaming children and histerical laughter until 2am. Would not stay at this hotel again, customers are not their business.

AWFUL - AWFUL - AWFUL !!!!!!!!!!!

This is the WORST place to stay in Metro Detroit. Don't even think about making a reservation !!!!! It is now called the Met. One of my relatives is staying in room 114, which I just heard her refer to as the "room from hell." The sink and toilet were both backed up from the time that she checked in. There is, shall we say, a deposit from a previous guest that reappears every time the toilet is flushed. The sink cannot be shut off. The closet doors are not attached at all. My relative was diagnosed with a concussion after the doors collapsed on her. The maintenance staff said "oh, this happens all the time." At 2:00pm on Thursday 2/25/11, a maintenance worker promised to repair the closet doors. On Friday afternoon, nothing had been done, the bathroom is still unusable and the closet doors are laying up against a wall. In short, this place is ATROCIOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My relative complained to the front desk, and for her trouble all that she received was a dirty, half-used bottle of Aleve. It would be nice to think that the bill would be adjusted, but I doubt that level of customer service would improve at all. To a add insult to injury, the owners do not light the American flag at night– is that a statement? Or are the deplorable conditions in the hotel enough !!!!!!????????!!!!!!!!

Met Hotel Review

My stay at the Met Hotel in Troy, MI was both a pleasant and frustrating experience. [...] the stay was very pleasant, quiet, and solitary, aside from the two nights of a full house due to a party or some sort of social event.

My stay

Went from hotel to work and back to hotel. This was the worse hotel visit that I had at this location. Since I was there last the restaurant and bar area within the hotel had closed and there was nothing comparable within walking distance. Addittionally, I wanted a coke one evening and of the three machines on premise, two were broken and one was out of sodas completely.
