My room wasn't available at check in. I waited until it was cleaned even though I was offered a double bed room for just one person...no no. It is definetly a family friendly hotel! I didnt have any complaints about that something I would definetly consider in booking again with the hotel..excellent breakfast, but you have to get up early. My room was under the pool so the chlrone was very strong which gave me a bad headache. The bar tender at the evening reception was wonderful.

great rooms
The one king suites were very nice and cozy complete with microwave, fridge and a small sink outside the restroom. You receive free drinks from 5:30 - 7:30. Unfortunately we could not stay for the free drinks because we were headed to a reception however we had an hour before the reception started so we went to the main bar and waited for 20 minutes for a bar tender that never came. I would have commented at the front desk, however they were backed up with customers checking in. The breakfast was delicious the next morning. All in all, a great deal.

Very nice
The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk was very pleasant and attentive. The business center was nice. My wife enjoyed the workout room. We would definitely stay there again. The ONLY negative I can think of is having to pay extra for WI-FI.

good value for price
the embassy suites in Troy is conveniently located near Somerset Mall. The King suite was clean, the bed comfortable and no noise from the lobby detectable. The front desk employee was professional but tried to disuade us from going to the bar for a nightcap as it was close to 11:00PM when we arrived at the hotel. We went anyway and the bartender was hospitable and accommodating. We saw a nice crowd of thirty-something's at the bar and after a few minutes retired to our comfortable suite. The breakfast in the morning was delicious: omelet to order, pancakes, juice, coffee and practically anything else you could want in an American-style breakfast.

Awesome place
We stayed at the Embassy Suites during our Black Friday shopping trip. Everything was great. The staff at this location were fantastic. From the front desk to the omelette bar chefs to the bus and wait staff and we can't forget the bartender who was exceptional. Everyone was friendly and helped to make our stay great. For the price the accommodation was perfect. My reason for the 4 score on upkeep is due to the carpet molding the was down in the hallway on our floor.

Awesome Family Experience
Came to Detroit to see a Tiger game, shop and RELAX!!! Hotel was quiet, clean and staff made sure any request was handled quickly and with smiles. Breakfast was incredible and managers reception each night was a great time to recap our day and plan the next day. Managers came by our table each night and asked how our stay was going and if we were enjoying our stay. A very elderly woman was staying there and we watched the staff, especially the manager go out of his way to talk with her and make sure she was taken care of. it was great to see individual service like this and he still made sure to stop by our table at breakfast each morning. Hotel is beautiful and we will look to steal away again soon. You have a lot to be proud of.

Family Reunion
I always love staying at Embassy suites. The breakfast is the best, and the manager's reception is a definite plus! [...] Not a very walkable area but they do offer shuttle service for free!

Pretty good place to stay
we stayed at this hotel for a wedding and enjoyed our stay. the room was clean and the price was great for a king-sized bed executive suite. there were some places in the room where wear was evident (looked like someone had taken a knife to a spot or two on the wallpaper) but overall it was clean, comfortable and had tons of space in the suite. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
