The rooms are old. Not clean. You hear any conversation of the people above or next to your room. The badthroom looks like not cleaned for long time. For $155 per night this was poor quality for a high price.
For the cost of this room we feel we have been taken to the cleaners big time! The room was very small and the bathroom was so small. The one postive thing was the cleaning staff were very quick to make up the beds in the morning.
This is an average motel that is well past it's prime. The furniture had stains, the bedding and towels are thread bare and the air-conditioning, even without a particularly warm August day, never really cooled the room. The front desk staff was
pleasant but can not make up for the shortcomings in basic expectations. We went to get breakfast at 8:45am and many items were gone and refills in sight. I encourage you to keep going. The price was higher due to film festival activities in town but should have been about one-fifth of the assessed charge. Very disappointing and will have us staying further north in places like Charlevoix going forward.
The rooms REEK of cigarettes & that horrible stuff they use to try cover it up.
The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable.
ZERO bay view unless you stand off to one side in the parking lot & peer between two other buildings.
location is quite far down from all the main stuff in Traverse City so you can't leave your car and walk around town.
Comfortable Beds and free breakfast
Nice place for the family and you can take you dog too!
Very Nice. I was with 2 senior women and we stayed in a room with very close access to an elevator, which was perfect. Happy that there was a Night Light on the bottom of the blow dryer for night time. We got up multiple times during the evening
and the night light was very helpful and a needed necessity for us. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful (except for the orange juice). Happy that there were hard boiled eggs as well as other selected items.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
AAA office very near to Hotel, just west of the Hotel on the same side of the street. Lots for information and maps available from AAA. The Hotel had lots of local tourist broachers and information in the lobby.
