Location! Location! Location!
The hotel is very average but the location is in the middle of the city which was perfect. We travel to Traverse City for the breweries. Most of the breweries are within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel room was very small but was very clean. Bring your own pillow, they are as hard as bricks.

Great location!
This hotel is right downtown, in walking distance of everything! My friends had a great view, overlooking the lake. It's not necessarily updated, but it is a nice place with clean, comfortable rooms, attentive staff and an exercise room and pool.

Pure Michigan
We could walk everywhere that we wanted. The room was great as was the outside space. Pool great and very quiet ( no worry about are loud Grandkids) The only problem was we did not have enough time to try all the great eats!!!!!!!

Traverse City's Elegant Old Hotel
The Park Place is the old hotel" in TC--a tower in the middle of the town and, at one time, the nicest place to stay in the area. It's a block off Front Street, the main street, and convenient to everything in the city. It's past its glory days--the hotel restaurant, Minerva's is only slightly better than average, but quite passable nonetheless--but it's still a place for the 'city' experience in this resort town. Recommended.

Short drive from hotel
Trattoria Stella, in the basement of the newly-renovated-for-condos former regional mental hospital, is perhaps consistently the best restaurant in town. It's in the basement, in a brick-vaulted former storage space, and a passageway of galleries and shops also occupy the basement. The food at Stella, however, is glorious!

Not bad
Hotel was nice, however the shower head was broken (still worked but annoying for the money that we paid). It was in the perfect location just a walk from the beach and commercial area of Traverse City.

Awesome Couples Getaway
Great experience from the time we arrived until we left. The staff was polite, the rooms were clean and we were within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants downtown.

4 Star experience.
First the location is AWESOME! Being the tallest building in the area the top floor view from bar is unmatched. Panoramic view of the Lake and rolling hills is spectacular! Room lighting from multiple windows is perfect. What I would like to see is upgrade to TV (reception is bad and maybe need to upgrade to Flat Screen HD). Also, wireless internet kept dropping from my tower but worked better in lobby.
