This was just an overnight stay while heading south in MI. Our room was near the street and street noise was noticeable. Might be better away from the street. Hard to make a left hand turn out of the hotel parking lot.
While I typically do not stay at chain motels, I was very happy to find a good value at the last minute on a busy summer weekend in this popular tourist area. The room was clean and certainly adequate for our needs and the staff was very friendly.
Knights Inn's location makes it perfect for people wishing to explore Traverse City; it is but a short distance to downtown, the wineries, and the Sleeping Bear national park. Downtown, for example, is about a mile and a half from the inn.
rooms are clean and very tidy; my only wish were that they added veil curtains, as this would permit guests to allow sunlight in without compromising privacy (the room windows face the common corridor).
Front desk staff were most helpful: they were knowledgeable about the town's festivities and sightseeing spots. You can even email them ahead of time for recommendations!
This was a fabulous hotel for the price in downtown TC. The room was very clean, updated interior, very quiet. Nice continental breakfast, the pool was absolutely lovely. Its a bit of a hike to the downtown/beach area on foot, but overall my
family would stay here again.
