Enjoyed our stay at Howard Johnson's
We needed a place to stay for a couple nights while I was having surgery. We had stayed here before when it was the Heritage House. I didn't plan to go back. But the price was right, the whole place was remodeled, including adding a two story breakfast room with a beautiful fireplace. The breakfast was your usual fare, nothing spectacular, but was very convienient. We had a room with two queen beds and couldn't have been happier, especially for the price. Thanks Ho Jo's.

Was clean , advertised as new rooms, attractive. Breakfast was continental-toast, cereal, bagels, donuts. Excellent, very hot coffee available all day in the lobby. Enjoyed a window shopping walk downown, a walk along the Boardman River to look for salmon swimming upsteam.

Red lobster was wonderful-endless shrimp-delicious, great service, and ENDLESS SHRIMP , all we wanted for $16.00. Our October trip to northern Michigan was beautful, the fall color was at its height.

looks like recent remodel, very clean and comfortable. I like the shower, could have fit four people in there. Can't beat the room, great value.

Traverse City getaway
Howard Johnson, nice location just minutes away from downtown Traverse and not far from many of City's travel spots, rooms were clean and fixtures were in good shape, as hotel has had a recent update. Only thing that might be added is one or two chairs in room. Beds were a little high and made it a bit of a challege to tie shoes in morning. I would visit here again.

Great time
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was updated and our room was really nice. The kids liked the pool and enjoyed breakfast in the morning. The free wi-fi didn't work in our room and we were told they were working on it. Besides that it was a nice place to stay.

lots of space in room
Beds are comfortable, bathroom with new step-in shower very clean, staff was friendly and supporting, breakfast was enough to get you started, rooms have plenty of floor space. For the money I will return.

Great Stay!
With the completion of the renovations to the entire property, I was the first to enjoy one of the brand-new rooms. The new owners have remodeled all the room's with a new decor that was incredibly warm and welcoming; the bed gave me the best nights sleep I've ever had at a hotel. The entire hotel staff was very knowledgable about the area and more than willing to go the extra step to make our stay as perfect as possible. Even though it wasn't on the water, it was within easy distance of a fantastic beach and the downtown area wasn't far either. This is the place to stay in Traverse City!
