Hotel & Staff very friendly. DayClub waitstaff good but some tables were ignored. The View Restaurant was excellent. Chis the bartender was excellent. Handled the bar and dinner service. Need better dessert options on menu. Like Cherry Pie or ice
cream with cherry toppings, etc. In the Cherry Capital of the World and no desserts to speak of. Pools were excellent. Beach could be raked or cleaned. If there had been a better gift shop, we would have never left the grounds. Overall a very nice vacation. Would stay there again.

My wife and I had an enjoyable stay at the Holiday Inn West Bay in Traverse City. Great location, nice clean place, and friendly staff, but over $350 for a Saturday night and $200+ for Sundays and Mondays is a bit too much for a Holiday Inn. Yes,
you pay for location but we've stayed in several better, more expensive locations in various cities and did not pay as much for those higher end hotels. We are glad we stayed at Holiday Inn West Bay once, but will try other less expensive lodging next time. We recommend the place, but the cost is just something to be aware of for a Holiday Inn.
