BEST WESTERN PLUS Harbour Pointe Lakefront

Very nice hotel. Spacious rooms, very clean, well furnished. Good location on the water and near ferries, restaurants, etc. Front desk staff very courteous and helpful. Breakfast room very nice and food adequate. One of the nicest 3 star hotels, and the nicest Best Western, we've ever stayed at. Very reasonable price...great value for the money.

Our room was clean with super-comfy beds. Loved the view from the little balcony. Location is close to everything downtown, but enough off the main street to be quiet. Gorgeous water view, great playground for the kids with plenty of green space around for them to run around. One of the highlights was the campfire each night with marshmallows for the kids to roast. The breakfast was good, with many choices- the only down side was that the breakfast lines were huge....they may need a different setup. The staff was able to recommend good restaurants and local scenery. Overall, a fantastic stay! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area, hopefully next summer!

The Best Western Plus Harbour Pointe Hotel was a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. It is located on the waterfront and just minutes away from the ferry boats that took us to Mackinac Island every day. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room had a king bed and was large with a private balcony that faces the shoreline. The bathroom looked new and was roomy. Closet space and dressers and a table with a swivel chair, as well as a table with two sofa chairs and an ottoman. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was from 6:00 to 10:00 and had quite a variety of items. I especially enjoyed the belgian waffles and the eggs and sausage. Every night there is a bonfire starting at 9:00 pm right on the lake front. Plenty of room between the buildings, a large outdoor pool and an indoor pool. A playground for the kids. Parking next to the building. ONE CAVEAT: if you cannot climb stairs ask for a room on the first floor as there are 3 floors and no elevator. The rooms were sound-proof and my husband and I enjoyed our stay. I recommened it highly. The price was a good deal and that also helped to make our stay enjoyable.

was not happy at check in. when I booked on line with Orbitz was told no AAA or AARP discounts. When I checked in the clerk stated no discounts available because you booked through "them". If I can't get the discounts through Orbitz on line, why should I bother using Orbitz???? I'm on a fixed income and every little bit helps.

When I booked the hotel I was just looking for a place to sleep at a reasonable price. I was happily surprised at how great the hotel was! Our partial lakeview room was fantastic! The lake was so close. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. I was also impressed by the discount tickets to the ferry and other attractions. Our trip was made better because of this hotel.

Visited Mackinac island when I stayed here. Nothing to complain about cleanliness, service, proximity to major attractions.

We could hear movement in the room above us and our AC unit was weak. Otherwise, the location, property, and staff were excellent.

Incredible experience during 2011 Memorial day weekend. We were visiting Mackinac Island for a couple of days. Hotel is just a short walk/bike ride to best value ferries. We brought our own bikes; so didn't need to load/unload bikes on our car every morning. Very good breakfast. Staff refilled everything efficiently in spite of a large weekend crowd. They remained virtually invisible. Cleaning staff was the same way - efficient, courteous yet invisible. We will definitely go back here.

It was a very clean place to stay. Great location right on the lake and the price was awesome. We were on the first level and the people above us were noisy at times and that is really the only thing i can complain about. Would recommend this place to anyone!

This Best Western is located right beside Lake Huron. It has great view and can see sun rising from the surface of lake. Room is clean and quiet. We did enjoy their pretty good swimming pool and spa. However, it may take time to find dinner places.
