Super 8 Romulus/Detroit Metropolitan Airport

as i said thts an ok motel. That location is friendly because it's near to the airport,another way if u want to have something for cheap price,thts the place to go!

The room was ok for the price but with the broken ac on a hot summer night...coulda been better. My fiancé and I had to clean of the massive amounts of dust on the ac to even get it to run cool enough to work. The free continental breakfast was a bust. Mini bagels, mini muffins coffee and froot loops. I've stayed at super 8's before and they always had more to serve than that. One of the days we were there we had room service come through. The shower curtain was ripped when we got there so I assumed when they cleaned it would have gotten changed. Apparently I was wrong. Besides these few things the stay was nice and quiet. Just what we needed and it was in our price range.

The whole place smells like smoke. I may have had a non-smoking room but it smelled like someone had smoked in it. The AC never got cold even after I ran it on high all night. The only bathroom amenity was a very small bar of soap. The continental breakfast was so bad I walked down to McDonald's for breakfast. Definitely would by-pass this place the next time.

.. you might need to spend a night near the airport. But other than the proximity to DTW, and of course the low nightly rate, not much reason to consider this dive. The noise is pretty much at max volume as it's directly under one of the major runways -- bring some form of ear plug or heavy sedatives if you want to actually get a night of sleep. As usual, trying to get a room temperature that is tolerable forces you to fire up the turbo-fan jet engine of a heating unit - almost as bad as the flyover noises!

Bad hotel will not use never again not mo more. Had bad experience

If you are looking for a place to lay your head, then this is fine. Otherwise, you're wasting your money!

My son and I stayed three nights. Beds were never made and room never cleaned. I had to go to the front desk ask for fresh towels from an attendant who could barely speak English. There was dried blood or human waste dripped on side of the top mattress (I have a photo). I asked for them to change out the mattress and to clean the room twice, and got no response. Fitfully slept just 2-3 hours each night. Just an awful experience.

Served it's purpose for my needs. Basically just a place to lay my head. Only major complaint was the air unit broke in the middle of the night and they had to move me around mid-night.

Hotel wasn't the best kept place. It was kinda falling appart in pieces. toilet wasn't secure to the ground, tub looked dingy and dirty. The door to the room looked liked someone had busted in before. the door to the entire building in the back slammed shut and you could hear people moving around in the staircase to go to the second and third floors.

This review is strictly on the hotel itself. It needs to be burned to the ground and rebuilt. Our room was gross. The box spring on the bed was about 50 years old. It had blood on it. The floor was awful. We wouldn't even take our shoes off. Your shoes stuck to it. The sheets were rice paper thin. The blanket was all knotted, torn and just nasty. There was an old recliner in there that looked like they got it off the curb after someone else tossed it out. I slept on top of the bedspread for a lil while. My girlfriend wouldn't even stay in the room. It made her itch. She slept in the car. After a while, I joined her. NEVER AGAIN IN LIFE would we stay here. Even if the rate was FREE!
