How suite it is to be so close to the Detroit Metro Airport
The contemporary SpringHill Suites by Marriott is less than a mile from Detroit Metropolitan Airport and only 20 minutes from the heart of the Motor City. Business and leisure travelers, arriving via the complimentary airport shuttle or on their own, find spacious studio suites with such amenities as a mini-fridge and microwave, free Internet access, and a free breakfast buffet. great home away from home
My husband and I stayed here three nights during a visit for a family party in the nearby area. Room was very efficiently designed. Bed was very comfortable as well the assortment of pillows. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was very nice as contributed to the value of this hotel. Pool and hot tub were small, but we were there at a time when no one else was, so it was nice. Very convenient to airport and car rental. Fridge & microwave a bonus. Only down side was noise from doors slamming in the hallways and stairways. But all in all, great stay.

Expected more for a new Marriott property
One night stay for a business trip. Liked the modern decor and amenities. The room layout was small for a suite but nice. The shower left a large amount of water on the floor. Staff knows that many showers have improperly installed seals. They are "working on it". Carpet was stained. Plumbing noise as noted by other reviews. Had better stays at other suite type hotels.

Great rooms and convenient to airport
A little dismayed on first sight as the lobby decor was not to my particular taste -- blues and greens in a 50s kind of decor, including sheer curtains, contemporary -look furniture and glitter and lights! But the staff was great and the room clean and very roomy and convenient. Stayed in a hotel with this room layout before and love it. The toilet and shower are in two different rooms. There's also a sitting area and a refrigerator and microwave. Drawbacks are a tiny pool and the breakfast meat and eggs were yucky.

Try the Sport News restaurant facing the hotel. The food's great, the decor attractive and the prices reasonable.

Very clean but a little bit noisy
This hotel is spacious, clean, with nice staff. Breakfast is decent. Setting is modern. The only problem I have is that the room is not sound proof. I can hear the snoring from the next room.
