OK for the price
Only used this as a cheap place to stay overnite while awaiting our 6 AM departure to the airport. The bed, TV and room were OK but the window had a broken latch so it could not be closed but the weather was warm so it did not matter. The clerk said she would move us if we wished, and would report it to maintenence in the morning as it would have to be a major repair with a new part. Had a fridge and microwave. Did not stay for breakfast.

Red Romulus Roof
They were open and had our reservation ready. Plus 1. The non-smoking room they gave us smelled like smoke, the second room just smelled. It was very dirty, and over priced for what it was. But again they were open!

Clean, Convenient & Reasonable
Very convenient location - just minutes (-5), away from DTW airport: also awesome Italian restaurant, almost across the road, "Leonardo's". Great to eat-in, or to have dinner delivered, again awesome pizza and Italian food fare, wide variety of great food selections on menu!

excellent quality and price
We checked in, I offered my credit card he said not needed already paid for, we got to the room and the fire alarm wes beeping every minute, he put us in a different room no problem! Very friendly, offered a wake up call for the shuttle, I asked were do I put my truck, he said it stays right here! Awesome, we usually have to move it to a different lot.

fit our needs
We needed a room for one night at DTW taht takes pets and that had good value. Thus fit our needs

not a good place to stay
when we went to our room, we noticed the smoke dector was missing, we informed the front desk, the motel maintaince man came to our room and with a blank stare on his face he said the smoke detector is missing, nothing I can doand management said too bad!!! I went into the work out room and took the smoke detector to put in our room (no-one sleeps in the work out room but we were sleeping in our room)!!!!! overall, motel staff was very unfriendly, we will never stay at americas best ever again, nor will we recomend it to anyone.

Short distance to the Airport
The America's Best Value in Romulus Mich. is just a stone's throw to the Airport. There is no food available at the hotel, but we wandered next door to the Best Western for dinner. For the length of time we were here, it was adequate. If we were looking for a 'destination' hotel, this wouldn't be it, but for a quick overnight stay to catch a plane early in the a.m., it worked well for us. We appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport, and some place to leave our vehicle.
