The Quality Inn and Suites is located less than one mile from all three terminals at Detroit's metro airports and provides a complimentary 24 hour airport shuttle. The hotel has interior corridors. Hotel features free high-speed Internet access, exercise room, and free continental breakfast.

GOOD FOR LOCATION, BY AIRPORT,LOW PRICE.

Relaxing and helpful

Location was a little out of the way but OK Was in for the Frozen Four It was easy to drive to everywhere I wanted to go The staff at the hotel was great

Big Disappointment

We chose this hotel for it's proximity to the airport and economical price. We were surprised to find out that economical meant doing without services you expect in any hotel. Requested a non-smoking room but were assigned to a smoking room. We were moved to another room but had to repack and unpack again after the move. The next morning we left to spend time with family we had come to visit. When we returned to our hotel that evening to get ready for an early flight out the next morning, we found out our room had not been serviced. When the front desk was notified, we were given towels adn toiletries and told "sorry". We will not stay in this hotel again. There are too many to choose from in the vicinity of the airport!

Hotel review

The hotel on the whole was very nice. The refrigerater in the room did not work and since the registration clerk was the only employee working at the time we had to change rooms instead of just moving out the small refrigerator for one that worked. I found it a little strange that she said she was the only employee at the time. What if there was an emergency? But the rest of the stay was nice.

It was very convient to Metro Airport and the 24hr shuttle was prompt.

Quality Inn & Suites for Detroit Airport

Check in was pretty smooth. Staff was nice. There was a note about a 1.50 safe fee on a print out, but told not to worry about it. Location did not convice us it was safe. Attached building for restaurant was boarded up. Door to our room showed multiple signs of attempted forced entry - though latch appeared solid. Elevator had a very strong mechanical smell. Bad enough that we used the stairs one time. Shuttle was right on time, and only made one more stop at another hotel before quickly taking us the short distance to the airport early in the morning. Every half hour service seemed good service. The van did not have seatbelts on second bench where we sat, which bothered me. Luckily the driver drove just well enough that I wasn't too worried. Wifi worked great - though I had a hard time finding a free outlet to plug in inside the room. There was a computer or 2 in the lobby. TV had a few stations that just were blank or said no-service, but had an ok selection. One of the runways lined up just south of the hotel. Nice views of landing planes. Did not keep us awake, but just might be an issue for very sensitive sleepers. Overall a Good value for the price.

McDonalds, Wendys & Checkers all simple walking distance - all fast-food burger-type places. Hotel next door listed a restaurant, but did not check.

Simply not a nice place.

Overall I was disappointed. There is NO Restaurant on site as advertised (I actually called to confirm this and was told there was). The manager, who checked me in, actually argued that because the restaurant in the property across the street (Day's Inn) was owned by the same person there actually was a restaurant on site and actually started arguing whit me when I disagreed. Once checked in we found 2 of 4 rooms dirty. Mold in the tub, gum on the side of the headboard and spider on the bed dirty. One of the other rooms had the light out in the bathroom, when brought to the managers attention he said "just use the heat lamp". At 11:30pm the AC in one of the rooms started blowing hot air. The young lady working overnight was very nice and set me up with a 5th room and adjusted a portion of the bill on checkout. In short this facility is not up to the expectation of a Quality Inn. I would never recommend anyone stay here.

The attached building that appears to have been a restaurant has its door chained and a condemned sign on the door from the city dated 5-22-09.
