Visited this lovely hotel for just the night on a recent business trip. Staff provided check-in cookies as promised, and after a long flight / drive were very appreciated! Hotel recently went through a nice renovation, with modern touches.
situated next to a bar/restaurant that we visited that night. Food was ok but plenty of variety on the beer/wine list made up for it. Compared to everything else in town I'd say it's your best option.
This hotel is newly remodeled and is a great place to get away with a wonderful view of the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron Michigan. The bed was pretty comfortable and the warm cookies were very special!
Free wireless access and a cleaner shower
would have made the stay perfect, but overall it is a great place to relax
Front-desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Key failed the second time I went to the room. Several staff finally got into the room so I could reclaim my things, then they gave me a free upgrade and two free breakfasts. All the while
they were most apologetic and friendly. I quietly watched until they made their decision. View of the St Clair river and ships going by was superb. Room was quiet. Fitness facility is very good and attached restaurant is a wonderful place to eat.
An excellent hotel, right on the St. Clair River. Rooms are top-notch, with views of the river and bridge. The restaurant is excellent -- you eat there because you really want to instead of just for convenience.
Visited the hotel for a wedding. Extremely clean rooms and very comfortable bed. Very quiet as well.
Fun little hotel bar/restaurant with great staff. Food is typical fried bar fare.
Only negatives about this hotel is the signage- practically
non-existent. GPS brings you in via Thomas Edison Parkway, which is the rear of the hotel. It is very hard to find the access road to get to the front of the hotel. There is a tiny sign with a tree on it- no words- and i had no idea that was the Doubletree symbol. From the rear of the hotel it looks like it could be an apartment building. Would it pain the Hilton Corporation to add words to the back of the building and add a larger sign with the NAME of the hotel so that guests can arrive more easily?
Also, the location is on the waterfront in a residential area, so there are no other food options near-by.
