Great into Canada
We thought this was excellent value. It's not a sumptuous place but it had everything we wanted - quiet, near a restaurant, clean, and nicely appointed. Definitely stay here next time we go into Canada after a day's drive.

Great location!
Travelled to Port Huron with my 16 year old daughter for some back to school shopping. Hotel was easy to find, but Water St. is under construction, and to get from the hotel back to the shopping area, you have to take quite a detour! Saw parts of Port Huron I didnt know existed, so all in all, it wasnt a bad thing! Check in was speedy - we were given room 111, on the ground floor. 2 issues with this room: 1) its a handicapped room, so there is no bathtub, just a shower. Not unuseable, but odd, as we didnt request a handicapped room, and I saw a few other guests on location that could have benefitted from such a room. 2) I have to sleep in a pitch dark room, but the building floodlights sit right outside the room window - it was close to daylight in there even with the blinds closed at night! Otherwise, room was clean, as was the remainder of the building. Quiet location, likely due to the construction. Breakfast was the typical eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal etc., and we enjoyed the pool twice. Room had a larger than average bar-sized fridge as well as a microwave. Checkout was a breeze. No issues, good value for the money!

Hotel fine, road construction PAIN
The hotel was very nice, I loved the lobby area, it was comfortable and cozy. The room was very clean, and the beds were great! The laundry room was a welcome site, we needed some clean clothes. The breakfast was wonderful! All in all a great stay, the only problem we had was the awful road construction that made getting around very difficult.

Very comfy
Wasn't expecting much for the price, but was pleasantly surprised by the comfiness and cleanliness of the beds. My only complaint is that the manager had no idea there wasn't any Starbucks close by and sent us on a bit of a wild goose chase.

We went shopping , Swimming at the hotel and out for meals. Everything was ok,but a lot of construction happening and it made for a few detours. The complaint that we had was the hide a bed was broken and not very comfortable and the room was not completely closed off from the other room so not a true suite,so this made it hard to get the baby to sleep. It was partly our fault for not letting the management know that the sofa bed was broken and when we checked out we were compensated for our inconvenience which made us pleased. The accomadations were over all just ok. but the hotel staff were great!

Most comfortable bed
We flew into Flint late at night and our luggage didn't arrive with us. We arrived much later than anticipated at the hotel and they were ready for us. We had the best sleep in a very comfortable bed. Did not make it up for breakfast since they gave us a late check-out. The staff was most helpful in getting our luggage. We certainly would stay there again.

Unbeatable location, clean
Night front desk clerk went out of her way to set the breakfast up @ 5 AM as she knew I had to be @ the Amtrak train station @ 5:30 for the 6:10 AM departure. (Regular breakfast beginning time is 6 AM). Appreciated the coffee being avaiable in the lobby prior to bedtime. The room was spotless. This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel. I certainly will recommend it to fellow travellers.

Price, location and easy to find.
We needed a place to stay while attending the Bayview Mackinac 2010 race start and this one was easy to find, clean with very comfortable beds and pillows - good price too.
