Hotel appeared to be understaffed in the restaurant and front desk. Front desk personnel was rude and did not work with online reservation vendor smoothly regarding the reservation. Overall under-delivered against the description provided.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and the hotel was very clean and tidy. The restaurant, 5ive, proved to be a delicious venue for dining. The grouper was particularly good.

Work Conference
It is a beautiful hotel in a luxurious setting. Restful and calming. The only issue I had was that I left a pair of earrings on the bathroom sink when I checked out and 2 hours later when I spoke with the gracious lobby staff, they told me that housekeeping reported they could not find them. This was a bit disturbing for me since they were a gift from my granddaughter and I knew exactly when and where I left them. That is a people problem, the hotel is awesome.

Beautiful and Convenient
I stayed at this hotel with my family for a wedding, which was also held at the adjoining chapel and banquet facility. I was traveling with my husband and 2 year old. We really enjoyed ourselves. The grounds are beautiful, including the golf course and a beautiful small koi pond/waterfall in the courtyard that my daughter really enjoyed walking around. I actually got her to hang out there for an entire hour! The restaurant in the hotel has good food (including Mac n Cheese!), was reasonably priced for hotel food (much cheaper than we expected), and had friendly servers. The rooms were clean and large. We had two queen beds, and had plenty of room for the pack-n-play and all our other suitcases and bags. The room also had a mini-fridge and microwave, which is a must for a toddler who needs "hot milky" to get to sleep. There was also free wi-fi and parking, which was pleasantly surprising since nice hotels usually rip you off for those. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy, and the front desk was helpful and friendly. Altogether, if we end up again in the Detroit area, this is definitely where we will stay! The location made it so convenient for our family, since we had the wedding in the same facility. The area is safe and not densely populated, which made it very relaxing. There was also a pretty indoor pool that we never made it to, but it looked nice.

Great Hotel with gracious, helpful staff
This hotel was perfect! My son who will be a grad student in the fall at the University of Michigan and I spent two nights at the Inn. The hotel was a quick 15 minute drive from the University. After two hectic days on the campus looking for housing, the Inn was a pleasant retreat.

St John's in Plymouth
Hotel was OK[...]. For $138 the near Embassy Suites type room (without a free breakfast)was acceptable but if I would have paid the $185 price I would not have been happy. Next time I'd go to the Embassy Suites down the road and come to St. John's to play golf. BTW the $30 breakfast(room service) wasn't eaten because it was plastic like and overcooked.

former seminary...just heavenly
This hotel, a former seminary, has been carefully restored and re-purposed for guests, seminars, weddings and other special events. The on-site Five Mile Restaurant was convenient and reasonably priced. The location was about a thirty minute ride from DFW metro airport, downtown Detroit and also close to U of MI, BIG BLUE. We enjoyed using the hotel as a base camp while we visited relatives and found our room comfy, clean, and the staff helpful and friendly! We'll definitely stay at the Inn whenever we return to MI.

Quiet and Clean
In town for a family funeral, so looking for a clean and quiet place to stay. The Inn @ SJ was that and more. Stayed in an Exec Suite with my 13 year old daughter and my brother. Appreciated having a microwave and refrig, two TV's and free Internet. Room was clean, shower spacious, bed was comfortable ++. Overall a great place to stay. Room was dark---had to turn on all of the lights and still seemed dark. (Plenty of daylight in the bedroom.) Nice to have two furnaces to control temperature. Reccomend the room service coffee, pool was clean and can't say enough good things about 5ive....Great food, great service and a 'value' (good prices). [...]
