Super 8 Petoskey

The breakfast was ok, a lot of carbohydrate offerings with no egg options. Hotel is close to downtown Petoskey and close to all ski resorts.

What started out to be a disaster with my booking turned into a very rewarding experience. The manager was very accommodating and helpful.

Reservation was booked for wrong night. Arrived at hotel to check-in and was informed we were a noshow for previous night. Was advised we would need to pay additional $80 for another night, however all hotels full due to activities in the area. This hotel only had two rooms remaining. Manager stepped in and made an embarrasing situation into a very comfortable stay at the Super 8 in Petoskey. Thank you to the manager and staff for all their assistance. Great - great - great staff.

this was my 3rd trip to the super 8 in Petoskey. we returned because the staff is so friendly and helpful, the accomodations are reliable and the location just right. the continental breakfast has plenty of options (the coffee is the only thing that needs help... pretty poor). we will visit again.

This hotel was what we expected. It was okay--not just super nice like other places we've stayed. Nothing wooed us about the place, but it was a good value.

I booked the room solely on price and distance from downtown. I wasn't looking for anything special, wasn't planning on staying long anyhow. I was really surprised how it all turned out. What I figured to be tolerable at best turned out to be rather enjoyable. Great location if you're not staying downtown, less than a 5 minute drive in. Didn't have the time to enjoy the pool but thought it was neat that it was open 24/7. Really though, what grabbed me was the continental breakfast. Honestly, I don't know if I've had better. The seemingly homemade biscuits and gravy had me. If I come back to town anytime soon, I know where I'll be staying.

The hotel is located across the street from the bay, we got a bay view room and although the view could have been better if located right on the bay it still had a nice view and for the same price as a regular room! Rooms were clean and big! Customer service was great! We asked for a good local eatery and they suggested a great little place with awesome food! Pool was big and clean(does need to be resurfaced)Hot tub was great! Breakfast was good, fruit, biscuits & gravy, waffles, cold cereal, they even gave the kids a frozen go-gurt for the road! All around a great experience at an super price!

The staff was very nice, although the front desk clerk when we arrived didn't know how to process an online reservation and we were charged a total of 3 times for our room. The next clerk apologized immediately and said it would take a few days to remove the extra charges. The room was very clean and roomy with comfortable beds and a very spacious bathroom. The view out the window over the lake was spectacular.

Stayed the night here after spending the day at Nubs Nob. Toilet was clogged and staff just dropped off a bucket and plunger when we called about it. One of our group cut his foot on the bottom of the pool. Other than that, staff was hospitable, rooms were ok. There were ants down by the pool/hot tub (probably because there were families eating food down there?)

not the best; but, great value. the hot tub was actually top notch and the pool was nice as well which is great after a day of activities. the hot tub and pool were better than the rooms and that was more important for us.
