Great place to stay
Everything about this hotel is great! The room service was nice, the owners were great and the rooms themselves were wonderful. Only "bad" thing is when US-31 gets busy it can be a pain to turn into and out of. This is a fantastic place for the price!

Nice place to stay, for the price.
As long as this motel remains very cheap, compared to other hotels in the area, I recommend it. It is no frills, but has a good location, comfortable rooms, and is reasonably priced.

Right out of the 1980s.
This is a very comfortable, scenic, and family owned place to stay. The view of the lake is nice. As long as this hotel remains about half the price of the 3-Star chain hotels, I highly recommend it.

Short drive to Boyne, Boyne Highlands, and Nubs Knob. Within a mile of downtown Petoskey, and a walk from the lake.

Bay Inn
No heat, and no breakfast was available. The hotel put up a sign at 8am that said be back at 9am. No breakfast at all. Rooms were clean, but not having heat in Northern Michigan after driving 4 hours in a total whiteout of snow was unacceptable. Called hotel right after checkout in the morning, the owner did not offer any compensation. All that was said "call us before you come again and we'll make sure the heat works". There will not be a next time. Thank you!

Beautiful Sunset Views over Lake MI
Lovely, clean & affordable rooms. Sunset over Lake Michigan & Little Traverse Bay was beautiful. Nice outdoor sitting patio to look over the water & relax outside our room. Bike path to Petosky & Charlevoix across the street. Wish we would of had our bikes. Took in the nearby casino for fun & toured downtown Petosky. Location is nearby the ski resorts also. Wow, what a find.

Short drive from hotel
Little Traverse Bay & bike path (blacktop) across the street to ride to Charlevoix, Bay Harbour or Petoskey. Bay Harbour & Downtown Petoskey less than 3 miles away. Just to look outside my rooms window & see the water was to cool. We could have spend a lot more money at another hotel & not seen this view of the water. Coffee in the morning a must, it was right in the room to make. Enjoyed our stay!!

close to bay harbor and cheap
We were just looking for a cheap place for sleeping. We spent just one night and didn't spend time in the hotel. But, if you are looking for more than a place to sleep, you should choose an another hotel.

Unbeatable location for the price
Beautiful senic setting Coffee pot was in room, but wasn't told we had to ask for it at the office. Was very nice.
