Hilton Garden Inn Detroit/Novi

I got this room for my wife to have a night away with her friend. It turned out horrible. There were tons of little kids running all over the hotel raising cain, The police were there twice for disturbances. My wife said she was so disappointed and would never stay at another Hilton property again. This was not the only issue. When they arrived there was no one at the desk and when she found an employee he said, "oh are you here to check-in?" She said she wanted to say, "nope just carry my suitcase everywhere I go, here's your sign." I am very disappointed also and will not recommend Hilton. You blew it this time Hilton. We thought that Hilton Garden Inn would be comparable to Hyatt Place, but boy were we wrong. Hyatt is much better deal. This experience was my wife's worst ever.

The twelve oaks mall is less than 5 minutes away. Movie theater is right there. Many things to do around the hotel. And the hotel itself is very clean and nice.

I was there for a short vacation with my wife. The hotel room was very clean, comfortable and had a nice shower too. The hotel overall had very friendly staff and both the indoor and outdoor areas were very clean. I don't know when this hotel opened but everything appeared brand new. The only thing I can see needing improvement is the cost of the breakfast. For two people it's like $25 with tip. The restaurant area is also small and crowded. For that price I could have ate somewhere much nicer. On the other hand the limited food they had was good. I recently stayed at a Fairfield Inn and they had a similar breakfast which was free.

Had an issue with our first room smelling bad. Never was told why but it smelled like sewer. I was given a new room with a connecting door. It smelled better but you could hear everything our neighbor was saying and doing. I Would not recommend a room with a connecting door at this hotel. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

This hotel was attractive and clean, with very helpful and friendly staff and a small "pantry" store open 24 hours, as well as free coffee and tea. Our room was spacious and well decorated, with a minifridge and microwave. Great location and amenities - we definitely will stay again.

This was the ultimate girls getaway weekend. We were walking distance from shopping, restaurants and most importantly the club scene. We didn't have to worry about driving or waiting for taxis because everything was close to the hotel.

We were there for the NCAA Frozen Four tournament. It was easy to get to and from the venue - no so far out that it took forever to get there but far enough out to enjoy the Detroit area. We also branched out to East Lansing to visit old friends. Located within walking distance of a new entertainment/shopping area that had many restaurants and entertainment spots as well as a movie theater. The room was terrific. I really liked the refrigerator and microwave in the room. Being new, there were some kinks that need to be worked out (weekend breakfast was a bit chaotic) but nothing that won't be fixed by more experience and time. Overall, for the type of trip we took, this was the perfect place to be. We would definitely go back again. Thanks for a great experience!!

My fiancee and I stayed at the hotel just for a night. We went to a New Years Eve party and did not spend too much time at the hotel. Everything was great. The hotel was brand new. However, there were too many loud people in the hall all night!

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed at and the price made it even better. The staff was courtious and very helpful.The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. Tried to figure out what type of mattress it was so I might purchase one myself. I like the way they are trying to conserve energy by having to put your key card in a special slot so it would power the entry light and the bathroom light, that way when you took the card out those two lights would go out. I would definetly stay here again.

It waqs a very nice hotel. We had no problems. I thought it was diffuclut to get ice because you had to go to the bar/restrutant and during brunch it was diffuclut to get a person to wait on you.
