Ehh
Okay, so there aren't too many options in Muskegon for hotels, so we stayed where we found availability and looked decent. Likes: Full fridge in room Microwave in room Rooms have lots of windows Small sink with paper towels in room Good water pressure in shower Lobby has a room with games and computers for use - also includes free hot cocao Dislikes: Towels worst I have ever seen at any hotel Condition of mattress Furniture (metal bed frame not safe with toddler) Cabinets were full of dust (had to clean myself) Toilet paper quality Bathroom has minimal counter space Carpet is old and dated No bath tub, just shower Cold not pick up WiFi in room Other things to mention is that there is a complimentary breakfast, but it really only includes cereal, danishes, bagels, yogurt, and some fruit. The juice is in a fountain machine and there is only 2% milk. There are breakfast burritos if you care to unwrap the itema nd microwave yourself. Overall the restaurant next door is good and the location is not bad, but this hotel needs to be renovated badly. It is not clean, very dated (even if they are going with the victorian theme), and the old school TVs with limited channels are not good.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
The Hearthstone is a great place to dine. Great food. Try the goat cheese fritter - YUM! Michigan Adventure Park is great for family. The waterpark looked awesome but it was too cold for us to enjoy.

beautiful hotel!
Stayed two nights, perfect stop on our trip! Very nice hotel, very clean and elegant. The continental breakfast was great. Hotel needs faster elevators...2 elevators for 10 floors, thank goodness we were on the second floor and ended up using the stairs since they were right outside our room. But the say is worth it compared to other hotels in the area. Love the decoration in the rooms.

We Loved It!
This is a great hotel for couples who want to get away and enjoy being near the water. We rental a paddleboat and took it out on Lake Muskegon, ate breakfast and dinner at the marina (adjacent to the hotel), and watched the sunset from our balcony. The hotel is less than 10 years old, but lacks a few current upgrades (pay -per-view movies, dated room decor). However, we loved it, and plan to take our kids back next month.

Wonderful hotel
Checking in was simple and expedient - staff were polite and friendly. The room was wonderful - a king deluxe with whirlpool. We had a panormanic view and the room was really lovely. The services were excellent (loved the 4 computers in the lobby). Gift shop was reasonable. Pool and spas were EXCELLENT. The hotel building itself was exquisitely beautiful and we weren't far from the state park. The only negatives were the pillows were uncomfortable - bring your own. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay. Didn't feel like a hotel and it wasn't noisy.

Shoreline Inn
Went to Muskegon to visit family. The Hotel seems out of place for the location. Ship yard next door. The Hotel itself was beautiful, clean and great amenities. Finding nearby restaurants was a little challenging unless you travel 3-5 miles. The Marina restaurant was a little pricey, but hear the food is great.
