Red Roof Muskegon is close to Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake, making us a great destination for summer travelers. Were also home of Michigans largest amusement park, Michigans Adventure, as well as the Great Lakes Naval Memorial and Museum, the Fire Barn Museum, and the Art Museum. By the lakeshore, enjoy our miles of sparkling clean, white sandy beaches, clear blue lake water, and glorious sunsets. History fans will enjoy touring the WWII Silversides Sub and the S.S. Milwaukee Clipper. Youll also find four scenic lighthouses within 20 miles of our hotel. The Muskegon area has great festivals year around?and the Fall Color Tours are breathtaking. For winter sports fans, the Muskegon State Park and Winter Sports Complex, located nearby, has miles of lighted ski trails and an outdoor luge track. Located on Business 31, our hotel is just seconds from restaurants and shopping.

Relaxed

The hotel is an older hotel but is well kept up and, most importantly, clean. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. We loved the jaccuzi!!!!

WORST HOTEL EVER

this was the worst hotel ever, the pool was tiny ( and smelly ). the room itself was horrible, the paint was chipping, one lamp didnt work, there were stains all over the carpet, the toilet and bathtub leaked, the water in the shower would go from scortching hot to ice cold at will, no matter how you turned the handle, they even made us go to the front desk to get our own towels because the lady said she was the only one there, then we go up there immediatly after, and three workers are smoking outside. unbeleivable

OK for the money.

Check-in/out was fine. The room was clean, but the curtains showed stains from wear. The hallways were okay, but many stains. TV was like watching an old B&W. No elevator for the 2nd floor. For the price, it was worth it. Most other hotels in this range are pretty dirty and run down.

OK place for what I paid

The beds were kind of small and the pillows were flat. The pool was so small and a church group had came so my granddaughter was not allowed to swim. Too many older kids.

Not very impressive

We went there to spend the day at Michigan's Adventure Theme park. It was about 10 miles from the park. The location was convienient but the rooms were small and smelled bad and the hallways were dirty. The room was decent looking but the pool was small for the hotel size. The people working the front desk were very friendly but the area where the hotel was a little questionable.

Dumpy Red Roof Inn

My family and I stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Muskegon because everything was booked in Grand Haven, MI. This place was not worth $170 for two nights. This place is actually a dump. It looks awful and run down on the outside. There are always many people just loitering in the parking lot. The hotel hallways and our room smelled like mildew. The ice machine was broken. Or room had long black hair throughout the room, including inside our coffee pot. The bathroom was so small, the door would hit the toilet. The pool was a joke! I think it was a big as a tuna can. Please consider another hotel before staying at the Red Roof Inn in Muskegon, MI. This hotel is the pits!

watch what you walk into

The first night we walked into our room and it was already occupied. The next room still had a bag of chips in it so we know it was never cleaned very good. Second night, the keys would not unlock the door and we had to switch rooms again. Still mold in coffee pot so know rooms were not very clean. Security guard chasing a suspicious guy in underwear.
