Take Away The Platinum Award
This was not our first time staying here, but I'm sure it may be our last. The biggest offense was soiled and stained blankets and comforters. I had to carry the dirty bedding to the laundry while staff tried to find clean blankets. And again, the staff found it necessary to interrupt my business to answer the phone. The customer in front of you should come first.

Take Away That Platinum Award
I have stayed here before, but I don't know if I will ever again. First of all - the room rates were almost double what I paid to stay less than 2 weeks earlier. Second - they may have changed the sheets on the beds from the previous guests, but they didn't change the blankets or comforters. We had a room with the two queen beds and we found BOTH blankets and BOTH comforters to be stained and soiled. Not the thing you wanted to find when returning from funeral services. The response that I got from the staff when this was brought to their attention was less than shocked or apologetic. The attitude was like this wasn't the first time. I ended up carrying the soiled bedding to the laundry while the staff looked for something that was clean. And finally - a repeat offense - the telephone seems to be more important to them than the customer in front of them. While I was at the counter, my business was interrupted twice by incoming phone calls.

(Plus) Clean room, Fresh linens, TV with wide variety of channels, Quiet surroundings, Great lakeside location. (Minus) Checking in, the girl at the counter was too busy answering the phone to tend to customers waiting in line in a timely manner - was about a 10 minute wait to even get a hello or a welcome. The fruit at the continental breakfast could have been a little bit fresher. (Neutral) Didn't get a chance to use the tanning salon or see much else. (Overall) from what we did experience, it's a HUGE improvement over our previous stays.

We were here for a brief stay passing through. The room was clean. Our non-smoking pet friendly room smelled stale but it wasn't bad. [...]. In our room our remote didn't work, which caused some issue with my husband. He tried relentlessly to get the code from the front desk--to no avail. In the end, it was he perfect situation wit our pretty puppy and most issues weren't too big.The free continental breakfast was simple but made the start of the day great.

Nice price and location
good resturants within walking distance from hotel. Staff was friendly ,even when our room keys kept demagnetizing. Other guests were friendly, talked while taking photos of ships in the bay. Close to alot of attractions in the area.

Great deal for a pleasent location
I stayed at the Econo Lodge because I was traveling 3 hours for a wedding. This hotel was close to the reception, and was at an unbeatable price. I had friends that stayed in Econo Lodges in the past and did not recommend them. This hotel was very nice and the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. There was also a tanning salon in the hotel which I had never seen before in a hotel! I thought it was a nice touch and wish I had known about it earlier because I would've gone for a session. The thing that I was disappointed in was the website for the Lodge, it didn't point out all the amenities that it included (such as the tanning and continental breakfast) thankfully the staff had a good check-in procedure and was able to make me aware of their amenities.

Econo Lodge On the Bay
The motel was close to my son and family and was easy to walk from the motel to my son's home. I would have preferred a room with the view of the bay. I have stayed there before and liked the setting.
