Wonderful

The Landmark Inn is a beautifully restored hotel, with decor true to it's history. I must say this is probably the cleanest hotel I've ever been in - the bathroom was immaculate. A great pub and restaurant are on the premises. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Marquette is a picturesque and historical town, with all the modern amenities you might need - a great college town.

Beautiful hotel but Fell short

Clean rooms and friendly staff. But not exactly bayshore view as described. Is located in downtown with a huge hill of trees blocking lake view.

I love this motel

This is a great motel. The staff is very well trained and go the extra mile with a smile. The rooms are full of character and though some have a few rough edges I'd have to say that you are reminded of a beautiful piece of antique furniture with a few timeless dings. The Landmark is very centrally located to downtown shops and parks.

Very pleasant stay

Pros: Good location; clean, spacious, pleasant room; quiet; great parking. Cons: Very slow breakfast service; thin white curtains that did not block out the light.

If traveling with kids, check out the superb children's section of the Peter White Library across the street from the hotel. It's better than many big city ones!

A night at the Landmark Inn

Love to go here to stay when we visit our son at NMU. Great to walk to a local restaraunt and watch the sun go down while enjoying a glass of wine in the 6th floor bar.

Great Hotel!

We really enjoyed our first visit to the Landmark and plan to return often. The hotel is located in a perfect setting - a side street, within 2 blocks of Lake Superior, a beautiful water front and great breakwaters to explore. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the meal in the Landmark's English Pub was a complete and pleasant surprise. The history of the hotel is very interesting and we encourage visitors to learn about it. All in all, it was a great weekend. We'll definitely go back.

Enjoy the park-like setting as well as walk the peers and look at all of the boats. Be sure to take a walk out on the breakwaters as well!

Very Nice Historic Hotel

The Landmark Inn was a very enjoyable historic hotel. It is in remarkable shape, great restaurant, and there is a bar on the sixth floor that looks out over Lake Superior which is a great place to end the day or night. The rooms were nice and clean. The mattress was a little soft and slightly lumpy for our test, but it didn't stop us from getting to sleep. Overall, this is a great hotel for the money, and I would highly recommend it as the place to stay in Marquette. We cannot wait to go back!!

Downtown shops are only a block away, Lake Superior, a lake front park, pier and renovated condos/lofts had for a great walk just outside the door of the hotel.
