Convenient location and clean rooms
We attended a weekend wedding at a beach house and spent 3 nights at the Manistee Inn. I would stay there again because of the location - walk to shops and restaurants and located along the river, BUT they have THE skimpiest, roughest towels I have encountered EVER. I can take small OR rough, but not both! One bed in our room had a plastic cover on it; the other bed did not? Why the cheapo covers? The beds were very comfy, but" noisy" and, of course, the sheets continually slipped off. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was bagels and cream cheese, dry cereal, OJ and coffee. Be aware the front desk is only staffed 9 am to 10 pm. Until the property manager intervened, a desk clerk told us on the phone we wouldn't be able to check in at midnight and would have to stay elsewhere, despite our reservations. Crazy!

Eat breakfast or lunch at House of Flavors. Or just stop in for their ice cream. Can be very busy, but the wait staff is friendly and efficient

Dissapointed
Not what we expected for the price. Beds were worn out,stains on the chairs. Rooms could use a good face lift. Also no breakfast as advertised. Will never stay there again,or use again or book thru a certain company either!!! NOT WORTH IT AT ALL !!!!

Fantastic!
We stayed at this hotel for many days and everything about this property is wonderful. The staff is personable, helpful, and genuinely nice. It is very clean and relatively modern. Pets are treated like guests and when pets are left in the room, the staff kindly cruises by the room to see how they are doing. Every single thing we needed was given to us and even things we didn't need, that's how wonderful they are. For example, the staff stops by the room to see if we need anything. No hotel does that! Stay here, you won't regret it.

Great location!
The hotel was right downtown by the marina and had ample parking. Unfortunately, the rooms need updating. It looks like they are updating the interior corridors. Maybe the rooms will be next. The room was clean just nothing to write home about.

If you want to go to the casino, make sure you have the front desk call the shuttle. It's a great way to get to and from there without any effort!
