$78!!??

this should be a $30 room. i wasn't expecting 5 stars for a $80 hotel room, but my experience was terrible. room looked nothing like pictures. there was no customer service. if i didn't arrive so late, i would have requested a refund and gone somewhere else.

we liked it so much we went back the next night!

Okay, it may not be the prettiest motel I have been in. It is older, and could use some renovation. That being said the view from our lakeside balcony was fabulous..the sunrises stunning. We got lucky and got a fireworks show that we watched from the balcony, fabulous. Management was very nice and the rooms were clean and tidy. When the family in the room above us got roudy the managment was right there to handle it. Breakfast was what you would expect, cereal, muffins toast, and waffles. For the money, you can't beat it in Mackinac City! We are going back again next year!

Colonial Michlimackinac...An educational and entertaining afternoon. We saw lots of families with young children. The displays were interactive so something for everyone. I wouldn't have wanted to do it on a rainy day. A fair distance between buildings . Worth the entrance fee, especially if you like history. Check their website for opening and closing dates. They usually close for the season in early October.

Good value for the price.

Our stay at the Waterfront Hotel was enjoyable. It is located close to the ferry docks to Mackinac Island, yet away from the busy activities of the city. While in Mackinaw City,we toured the historic lighthouse, which is located at the foot of the Mackinac Bridge. What an awesome view of the bridge and Straits of Mackinac from the top of the lighthouse.

Satisfied

Could definitely see that this is an older hotel, but was okay. The breakfast was so-so..cereal, toast, waffles. Would look for a nicer place next time.

Lake Huron on a moonlit night

We stayed at the Waterfront to have an early start on our next day's activities, and had time the evening before for a leisurely dinner, browsing the shops via walkway near the Inn and north all the way up to the tip of the Bridge, if we pleased. The indoor swimming was a delight, followed by a dip in the jacuzzi. The guests we met were happy, the early morning breakfast crew was so helpful and friendly, and the clerk took our picture before we signed out and continued on our way. We'll never forget the full moon and water view that evening. The inn doesn't have a lot of grass but it does include lots of beach for relaxing!

The Pancake House has excellent food with really fresh, sweet baby tomatoes and other fresh veggies, a great buffet and boxed dinners if you prefer when everyone in the party can't agree on one restaurant. Their prices stay in the $10-15 typical for plate dinners at Mackinaw City.

NICE LOCATION

just enough off the main drag. Hotel is a little old but it has been well maintained. Right on the beach! Just a short walk to Arnold's ferry line. A great deal for the money!

No Wows

The location was great. The breakfast was fine if you like waffles, muffins or cereal. The room and bathroom could use some remodeling. The cost was reasonable compared to some of the surrounding motels. There was absolutely no "Wow!" factor.
