There's a fantastic Italian place right down the road, that has great food and good wood stove pizza's.

Great beach very nice location. Definitely old school motel. Could use walls to make the balconies private.

Staff Rude. Location Great
The location is great. The indoor pool is nice in colder weather. The staff is the most rude that I have ever encountered.

Super 8 Mackinaw City/Beachfront Area
Location was perfect..the beach was the best part of this hotel. Our stay came with complimentary indoor water park passes (unlimited all week) at three different hotels with indoor water parks. This came in handy when it was raining a few days. The internet was unacceptable. Everyone had to go into the breakfast room just to use it. The front desk staff was friendly, housekeeping was very unfriendly.

There is a fire pit on the beach, so bring a portable grill and pick up some food to grill to save you some money. Dining out is VERY expensive in this area.

Pet friendly stay
Stayed three days to attend car show in St Ignace. Breakfast was adequate. Parking was a bit crowded, especially on Sat and Sun.

Romantic Holiday Travelers
Post-Tourism Season in Mackinaw City
The rooms were very clean and the facility in general seemed to be well maintained. I traveled with my boyfriend and we enjoyed our stay there. The pool and spa area was very clean and we were the only ones there on a Sunday evening in October. The location is good and is within walking distance of all the shops/restaurants/parks in Mackinaw City. With the exception of the hotel desk staff, this trip was very pleasant. Neither of the persons at the desk welcomed us to the hotel nor seemed to care that we had chosen their hotel to stay at. A more personable staff would have been great, but did not ruin our stay. I would recommend this hotel for the price that we paid and the time of year.

If you plan on going to Mackinac Island, most of the ferry services offer a $3 discount if you purchase your ticket ahead of time online and print it out before you arrive at the dock. The key thing here is that you need a printer!

Not that great
The floors were dirty and there was constant noise all night. The room was okay and the linens seemed to be clean but is it not someplace I would stay again.

I had to change rooms because there was a bug in my hand towel! Who knows what else was creeping around. My original room smelled funny. When I asked to switch rooms, the girls behind the counter started speaking in their native tongue. That was classy. Overall, don't stay here.
