Nothing fancy, but not too bad.
Stayed here for 1 night on our way up to the UP. The room was better than we expected from the look of the motel from the outside. I don't know anything about the location, but my impression was that it wasn't in the best part of town. Stood at the front desk for minutes while ringing the bell before anyone realized we were there to check out, but she did quickly apologize. Nothing special but I can't really say anything too bad!

Was just a stop on a 5-day roadtrip
The Days Inn are usually decent hotels. Nothing fancy and for me was just one night on a 4-night roadtrip. It is clearly an older hotel and I thought it was funny that they advertised that they renovated the lobby. What they need to do is renovate the hotel. It was disconcerting in the morning when I discovered that the panel over the shower was moved out of the way. I clearly hadn't noticed it the night before but I was very tired and it had been a long day of driving.

The Old Hamlin. Excellent home cooked food and the best housemade bread. Go see the lighthouse at sunset. I got gorgeous captures.

The T.V. was terrible and the radio did'nt work and the bathroom was very small. Not offered a room with a jacuzz or king bed. Not real happy with the room.

Perfect getaway!
Couldn't ask for more. I booked the hotel [...] late Friday afternoon for an over night trip the next day with my wife to get away from the kids. I was pleasantly surprised to find that upon checking in, the price had dropped another $10. The place was clean, quiet and comfortable. We are planning on booking at the same hotel the next time we visit western Michigan.

Nice accomodations, reasonable price
The room was very clean. The staff was friendly. Breakfast bar included coffee, toast, pastries, cereal, juice and make your own waffles. Both beds were very firm. It would have been nice if one was less firm.

NOT OUR BEST STAY
AT OVER $80 A NIGHT PER ROOM, WE DEFINATELY EXPECTED BETTER IN THE TWO ROOMS OUR FAMILY USED FOR 3 NIGHTS ON THIS TRIP. tHIS TRIP WAS A WORKING VACATION FOR FAMILY MEMBERS IN BOTH ROOMS -THE INTERNET ACCESS WASNT WORKING FOR BOTH ROOMS. THE FRONT DESK PERSON WAS ABLE TO BRING IT UP FOR THE FIRST NIGHT ONLY. THE REMAINDER OF OUR STAY WE PAID FOR OWN SERVICE. -SPIDERS AND THEIR WEBS HAD TO BE CLEARED FROM THE GROUNDLEVEL ROOM BEFORE IT COULD BE USED, fLEAS WERE PRESENT IN THAT ROOM AS WELL. -HOTEL ITEMS..COFFEE, CREAMER, SOAPS AND SHAMPOOS WERE NOT REPLENISHED WHEN THE ROOMS WERE CLEANED DAILY. -PLUMBING FROM ADJACENT ROOMS COUILD BE HEARD IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING..EVERY MORNING. -WALLPAPER AND FLOORING WERE IN NEED OF REPAIR IN THE LOWER ROOM.
