Ok if you can't get a room elsewhere
The bare essentials are here. The room was clean and everything was working. An internet connection of some sort would have been valuable. The motel is older and I have stayed numerous times in the past, however it has not been updated in quite a while. Some fresh fruit would have been appreciated for breakfast. They had nothing that would accommodate a low carb diet and very little for a diabetic. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable and moreso due to only having one pillow each to prop behind us when watching TV. My husband complained about the tiny, short toilet (he is 6'1")which is obviously original plumbing equipment. I found one tiny live cockroach in the bathroom. (It is no longer among the living - hope it was not a pet) Otherwise I saw no signs of insects or the like. We appreciated that the air conditioning was working well as it was a very hot, humid night. Hotel staff were friendly, the reservation was just what I had reserved.

The Red Lobster has been updated and is a very short drive. I would highly recommend it.

Great value.
The hotel was a great value for the price. The rooms were small but comfortable. The TV offered a great selection, and I really appreciated the good quality wireless. Check in and check out were flawless, and I thoroughy enjoyed my Otis Spunkmeier cookie. The breakfast was more than basic with waffles, cereal, and danishes. I liked this hotel primarily for the value (compared to the nearby hotels that were much more expensive).

well Jackson, MI doesn't have much to offer, but this hotel is right next to several restuarants and a very small strip mall

Okay ... good place to lay head
Bathroom could use some maintenance ... The makeup mirror had exposed wiring and did not look safe. Room was clean; bed was comfy;

Rooms are in need of updating
The Country Hearth Inn Jackson, was a disappointment. The room had lamps that did not work, and peeling wallpaper. The bed sheets had stains on them and the blanket had burn marks.

Place to rest your head if just traveling through.
The Country Hearth Inn in Jackson was cheaply priced compared to the other hotels in the area. The outside of the hotel is cute and looks new. However, the rooms were average (noticed some of the wallpaper coming off), nothing extravegant but for the rate it was expected. They had a great continental breakfast (some warm foods) and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is located right next to a shopping mall and restuarants. (best buy, target, etc)
