Clean, comfortable, dated

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Needs updating... was like stepping back into the 70's. Hot breakfast was okay... food was not great by any means. A decent value for the price. If I were going back to that area I would probably try somewhere else, but if this was all that was available I would stay again.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Dead Bear is not good. This is the place the hotel clerk recommended. I do not know why. Everything was edible, but that's about it. I would go to McDonald's before I went back there again.

This hotel was prime back in the day, BUT....

....absolute quietness remains due to thick walls and ceilings, a wet bar! normally extra, and the mattresses are new and very comfortable. This place was the place to stay and still is for the value, step back in time into this hotel. The halls smell of pool but the area is clean and once you put on the room heating/cooling you'll not smell chlorine. The breakfast buffet (i do not exaggerate) was one of the best we've had in regards to having many warm food options and a good fruit selection.

Desperate

Could not find a reasonable hotel anywhere! Had to go out of our way, about 100 miles to find a decent hotel for less than $100.00. This place was an oasis, stayed here about 12 years ago, but this time the place needs a lot of updating! The room was just O.K., could have been a little cleaner. The beds were very comfortable and the pool and kids play area were awesome! They also had a pretty decent breakfast with hot cheesy scramble eggs and good sausages.

Good stay

Stayed with my wife to snowmobile in the area. Area is great and hotel is clean and comfortable. Price was good. To improve I would like an expanded breakfast buffet with fruit.

After spending 11 hours driving, this was a nice place to stay. Rooms were clean and restaurant was a plus. Would stay again if in the area.

Are you serious?

This hotel is misrepresented in its location and description. It is not by the exit to Hartwick state park but is a old rundown hotel in town.I have no idea why Ramada would want anything to do with this dump.As for the free hot breakfast in a Asian? restaurant that's not worth eating you can't even get a cup of coffee unless you bring your little food voucher with you!

never recommend it

Sun was out when we arrived, but, the window was so cloudy we couldn"t see out, mold in bath tub, floor of filthy, slip strips were loose on tub floor, room on 2nd floor and no elevator. We're arthritic seniors.
