A great place to rest!
After a harrowing drive through all types of weather, our arrival at Holiday Inn was very welcome! Everything was so clean and comfortable, the staff were all very helpful and very friendly. The store in the lobby had a great selection of items, the restaurant ambiance, food and staff were all incredible and the view out the room was amazing. The hotel was a short walk to where we needed to be, and we are planning our next trip back to Grand Rapids, so we can stay longer to explore the downtown, museums etc. Will recommend this hotel definitely.

Good business trip
Flew into Grand Rapids for a business trip, I had stayed in that building before when it was a Hilton a few years ago so I wanted to try it out again. I did not eat anything at the hotel so I cannot comment on that. Free wifi was great. TV was a flatscreen hdtv with inputs on the back so that was good for netflix on the phone at night. Standard definition channels on the HDTV didn't make it look great. Small bathroom in my room, toilet and bath/shower with the sink separated into the room. The room did have a slight funk with the ac/heater on. Something to note is that there isn't a shuttle from the airport. It was $32 dollars plus tip to get to the hotel.

Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown
In town for a concert, hotel was just a short walk to downtown bars and Van Andel arena. The Grand Rapids Public Museum was located right next to the hotel, which makes for a fun activity for all ages. Hotel room sheets could have been cleaner. Although marks and stains we saw were probably just left over after being laundered... it is a little unsettling (and gross). There was a some hair in the bathtub.

Just 50 feet away from hotel is the GR Public Museum. Bodies Revealed is an amazing exhibit available for $15 ($10 for college student) until May 1, 2011! Check it out!

Good option for a conference
Just fine for the price. I paid ~$140 on a Friday night for a clean, quiet, comfortable room when the Amway and Marriott were full. Couldn't find espn. Sad!

Clean and friendly
The hotel is close to a main street, and unless curtains are drawn can be a bit noisy. MY room was adjacent to elevator and you can hear the bell ring every time elevator stops on your floor. Only double beds available, no queen or king size beds. Comfortable but small.

convenient
Right across the street from Meijers! Have fun playing chicken trying to get across the 7 lanes of traffic to get there. Old, barely operational equipment in the fitness center. There was a fridge/freezer and a microwave in the room - great for storing groceries.
