Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GRAND RAPIDS AIRPORT

First off, this is probably the best holiday inn I have ever stayed at. The rooms were large with plenty of room. Everything was updated and very comfortable. Had everything you would expect and then some. Everything was clean and I don't have really anything negative to say about it at all except that it is kind of hidden off of the road.

I usually don't do reviews but this is an exception. Great value in a clean, spacious, friendly hotel. I can't think of a thing that I would have wanted different except for maybe a little softer bed (I'm spoiled that way). Everything, and I mean everything else exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place.

Close to many restaurants, clean room, decent pool

Hotel is close to the airport which is why we chose it, but the A/C froze up and dripped water all over the floor which was a safety hazard. The staff did move us to another room. The next morning we were awakened to the sound of intermittant beapping which tuned out to be the micowave. Very annoying! Bottom line - hotel is rebranded, not new like most Holiday Inn Expresses we have stayed in.

This was above expectations; everything was clean, bed was comfy, staff was friendly, free wi-fi, it was relatively quiet, near airport, not a far drive from downtown and near lots of restaurants and retailers. Free breakfast was a plus although nothing to get too excited about. The pool and hot tub looked nice although we didn't use them. The only complaint I have is that two of the three nights we were there our room smelled like smoke (not like a smoker had stayed in it but like someone in the room next to us or underneath us was smoking). It didn't last too long though.

Stayed here for one night after a concert. The room was very spacious and even included a small kitchen area and two flat screen TVs. Would be perfect for staying for an extended period of time. The location was a little awkward, as it was tucked behind Meijer. But it was convenient, just off of 96. Our bathroom smelled awful. Something was backed up in the shower drain. I told the front desk and they did something to make it smell a little better, but the next morning when I took a shower, it filled up with water and wouldn't drain. The pillows sucked. The continental breakfast was so-so. Good cinnamon rolls and pancakes....eggs were just awful! Didn't get a chance to check out the pool or any other amenities.
