You mean America's Worst Inns

When I drove through the somewhat questionable neighborhood I tried to be optimistic about where I was going to stay for a night. I walked in and the counter where the attendant stood looked like something you would see in a gas station. There were ammenities that one might need but I think there is a better way to house them than looking like a gas station. When I walked to my room I noticed a vending machine that had a disclaimer note about how you might lose your money. Oh and I can't forget the nice assortment of condoms that were available in the vending machine. Now that's classy. Now for the room. When I walked in there was this odor that I could not place. It wasn't bad enough to ask for a new room, but bad enough to where I wanted a nice long dinner AWAY from the room. When it was time to sleep I noticed that when I lied down my feet were higher than my head. The head of the mattress was so worn that I tilted. I turned around and slept at the foot of the bed. All night I could hear other tenants and police sirens. I just made sure the door was locked and hoped I made it through the night. The moment I woke up I got out of there. I decided to go cheap because it was only for one night. But this was not worth it. Next time I am spending an extra $10 or $15 for a nice quiet place to stay, even if it is for just one night.

Don't waste your time or money

This hotel was nothing like I'd hoped it would be. All I needed was a clean and comfortable room for a one night stay on my way to a business meeting. I chose to go the cheep route because I'm not to particular in expectations. As I said, all I was looking for was a clean and comfortable room. This place didn't offer either. I was so displeased that I checked out three hours after checking in and went to a much nicer place down the street for just a little more money.

What a dive!!

This was by far the worst, most disgusting motel I have ever stayed in. Were it not for the fact I couldn't get my money back I would have immediately left after seeing this room. The room was filthy, it smelled, the person who had to come to take cre of the most basic needs was smoking. We were in a non-smoking room. There was nothing good about this experience. I will never stay there again. In fact, the kids and I agreed we would sleep in the car first.

Worst hotel experience ever.

Our worst hotel experience. Public areas dirty with broken equipment lying around. We requested a non-smoking room and were told that our room was non-smoking, but there were ashtrays in the room and it obviously had been used by smokers. We had allergic reactions to the third hand smoke atmosphere. Everything in our suitcase needed to be re-washed. We had to wear smoky smelling clothing to our conference. The room and public areas were not clean. Tissue box was falling out of the wall. No plastic laundry bag. In-room refrigerator was dirty and smelled bad so couldn't be used. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and the bedding smelled like smoke. Everything including the neighborhood was dingy.

Not even a 2

No TV remote in room, back to the desk. Oops forgot to tell you $5 deposit. Remote does not work for sound or power, back to the desk, another remote, still no luck. Bed still had plastic on matress and box spring, even though I have not wet the bed in years. Free breakfast was still not out at 7:30: desk people watching TV. Burn holes in all of bedding. Stains on sheets. Great shower. Room is just plain tired. Definitely not a 3 star and I 've stayed in better one star hotels that this.

The American Best Inn and Suites was an horrible experience!! I did not dare take a shower in the bathroom and the sink looked like it was going to fall off the wall.We were told the pool(indoor) was open.We checked it out...the water was ice cold and the roof was leaking in the pool area and the walkway to the pool.It was god awful.Hotel staff was very rude.

"BEWARE!! Not for family!

Worst Hotel stay ever!...it was a run-down hotel with old broken beds, light bulb was missing, slider was broke, no screen on slider, it was stinky & dirty. We got woke up in the middle of the night with some one banging on our door, then trying to open it, it was security trying to kick some one out-but he was at the wrong room! The pool was dirty & cloudy. We didn't ask for much from the maid the next day except for clean, dry towels and we NEVER received them! The beds were hard & noisy, the rooms don't look like the picture! No in-room coffee pot, not a-lot of breakfast variety. Only got about 10 channels on TV. This was also in a bad area-had alot of "drunks" being loud in the halls at all times of the night! Could hear everything and every one every time some one walked in the hall! I did not enjoy this stay and WOULD NEVER recommend this hotel to a family with small children! or to any one!! :(
