Well Worth The Stay

This was our third trip to Frankenmuth, and not our last. The Hotel was priced right for our budget, and lived up to the ... reviews I researched on the internet.[...] greeted us at the main desk and before I could produce the paper work with the confirmation Number, she had us on the computer and had our card ready. She explained the many features that the Drury Hotel offered and made us feel welcomed. As non smokers, we were happy that the room smelled like new...not the musty dank odor often associated with hotels. [...] had made up the room and left us a message guaranteeing our satisfaction. We left shortly after to take in some site seeing and to have dinner. It was unfortunate that we missed the reception from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, but we did take fresh popcorn to our room to enjoy while watching TV. The next morning we enjoyed a great Hot Breakfast including eggs, sausage, french toast, fruit, hot waffles and fresh coffee. On our next trip, we will take advantage of the free internet, hot tub and pool, and will likely bring another couple or two with us. And stay for more than one night. If five stars is the standard, they exceeded and set an new standard. Thanks for the great memories.

River Place has changed since our last visit but that is to be expected. The scenery is still impressive. The Christmas Store is still the draw that brings us for a visit. We stocked up with decorations and bought some presents for neighours. The downtown merchants are very friendly and helpful. Charming shops. Nearby Birch Run Outlet Mall provided the location for the balance of our Christmas Shopping

This hotel was beautiful and in a great location. The breakfast was wonderful. I did not have time to attend the Manager ... After Hour drink from 5pm-7pm because we were trying to take in so much of the German town.

Great stay, great weekend.
Kathy Jun 28, 2009
I traveled with friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Drury Inn. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We checked ... in at 10:00 a.m. before we started our sightseeing for the day and to our surprise they had a room ready for us already. The drinks (beer, 4 kinds of wine, and six liquors) and snacks (veggies & dip, popcorn, pretzels, nacho chips & salsa) were always plentiful. The free hot breakfast included eggs, sausage, french toast, biscuits & gravy, fruit, muffins, bagels & toast, and waffles. We felt that all of this added to the value of the room. We asked for advice on where to eat lunch in town and were given a great choice, and all of the tourist attractions in town are within easy walking distance from this hotel. We had a great weekend at the Drury Inn and can't wait to go back.

hotel staff were friendly. rooms were very clean. evening drinks and snacks were a nice surprise and breakfast was great! ... location is good, but a bit of a walk to the main part of town.

or a short drive to the Bavarian Inn. Did you know that you can order from the lunch menu anytime! the chicken dinner is a feast and just too much for me. instead I order a 3 piece chicken meal with mashed pot and stuffing, not only is it a nice portion, but at about half the price! in these economic times I am surprised they don't advertise this more. bonus, you may just have room for dessert!!

Very pet and family friendly :)
diane May 26, 2008
Our stay at the Frankenmuth Drury Inn was great right from the start. Check in, and check out, was extremely easy. As soon ... as they realized we had our pet pooch with us, they changed our room from the third floor to a more convenient one on the first floor, right near the back door. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. A very nice full breakfast awaits you in the morning, with scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage and bacon, make-your-own waffles, etc. And you also receive three free drinks and snacks at night in their little bar/restaurant, with free beverages for the kids, too. Just these amenities alone saved us quite a bit of money during our weekend! The room was very pretty and a lot nicer than some of the people-only roms we have stayed in, and there was no evidence whatsoever that other animals had ever been there. Everything was very clean and tidy, and the bathroom was spotless and very modern---nice shower, too! The hotel location is a bit north of downtown center, but the walk to Riverplace for the Doggy Bowl (which was very fun!) was pleasant, and the town is so quaint, although pricey. All in all, a fun weekend and a very nice hotel. There's plenty to do in Frankenmuth. The downtown and Riverplace shops are mostly very diverse and sell many things you can't find elsewhere, including clothes, candy, cheeses, interir decorating, weaving supplies, leather goods, sausages and meats, toys---you name it! Fun! Riverplace also has a fun Mirror Maze and Laser room, and a year-round Haunted House. There's Splash Village, which is a hotel/indoor water amusement park that we have heard is very nice. Bronner's year-round Christmas store is huge and fun. A great putt-ptt golf and zoo south of town. Plenty of nice restaurants, including Tiffany's, Zehnder's, Bavarian Inn across the street(famous for their family-style dinners), and daVinci's restaurant, just north of town, has a nice breakfast buffet and full menu for every meal. The Main Street bar is just down from the hotel and also has great food and a balcony seating area. Think we'll retire in Frankenmuth :) Anyway, we will be back next year for certain!

Comfy yet crowded
Denise Apr 1, 2008
The Drury Inn Frankenmuth was nice and clean, however the free drinks are only served between 5:30 and 7 promptly!! We got ... back from our busy day at 7:03 and went into the lounge to find it extremely busy and they had shut down the free drinks in a fast hurry. However the night was quiet and the free breakfast was great. The pool was nice...a little cold.

We liked having the change to get from the hotel to the town of Frankenmuth with just a little walk.
