Super 8 is awesome!
Super 8 is right in East Lansing. They are conveniantly located half a mile east from the MSU campus, a quarter mile west of the Meridian Mall, and four miles east from Sparrow Hospital, Downtown Lansing, and Lansing Community College Main Campus. They have spacious rooms with pillow top mattresses. Super 8 also provides free WiFi and cable TV. Along with all of this the provide a free complimentary breakfast from 6am to 9am.

The room smelled like urine. The bed had no fitted sheet, just a flat sheet on the mattress. The carpet and furniture had major water damage. There was actually a blood stain on the wall near the window. The worst motel I have ever been to.

Smelly, but did the trick
The hotel room had a weird smell but seemed pretty clean, if not a little run down. There were just a few details missing - there was a coffee maker, but no cups or coffee. I would have appreciated soap in the bathroom, too. The staff was really nice and friendly, and the shower was nice. The hotel is in walking distance to Meijer (if you like a hike), great restaurants, and buslines. However, as it's situated on a busy road, you can hear a lot of racket in your room. That didn't affect me too much as I'm a heavy sleeper, but could bother some people.

It was advertised as having flat panel tv and a coffee pot in the room. Neither were there, however I was given a coffee pot when I asked.

Not impressed!
Lobby was small and smelled stale. Staff was friendly enough. Room was average (bed was clean and TV worked) but needed updating. No pool. Breakfast room was a joke and we didn't eat there. For a few more bucks a night, go with a nicer hotel, in a better part of town, with a pool!!

Hotel was gross
The room was dirty. Bathroom tiles were crumbling. The shower was dirty. They didn't even put fitted sheets on the mattress, not to mention the blankets on the bed do not look they have been washed in a couple months. I woke up in the middle of the night and I was laying directly on the NASTY mattress because the sheets would not stay on.

You get what you pay for
The only reason I reserved a room at the Super 8 was becuase of its location and the cheap price. The review title sums up my experience with the motel

Awful disgusting rooms
My friend and I chose this hotel because of what the website showed. When we arrived, it was quite alarming. We immediately asked for a refund because the room was disgusting, as described above. We had to find another motel on a friday night to stay at. We spent all night on the phone with orbitz and Super 8 trying to get a refund. The manager of this Super 8 was not in at the designated times. Furthermore, he told us he would return our money if we said we had changed our minds, it had nothing to do with the motel. Sooo, we called corporate Super 8 and discussed the issues and finally after multiple calls recieved the refund. Good luck to anyone who stays here, we will pray for you!

Very convenient location
The hotel is remmodeling, otherwise it looks fine on its outter appearance. It's nearby the bus stop and have restaurants around so that it's pretty convenient for guests who do not drive.
