Great place for a getaway

This is a great place to stay to explore Detroit. There is a ton of stuff to see and do in a very close area around the hotel. Also the shuttle service was fantastic. We used it everyday, several times per day. Usually didn't have to wait for more than 10 minutes and they would be there. Rooms were comfortable, and clean, but the real star of this place was the staff and the location. Breakfast was also good .

Depending on weather the DIA and the Detroit science center are a long walk, or a short drive. The Detroit historical museum is close by and there are a ton of great restaurants close by also. Try Union street. and Fishbones. great food at both.

Doesn't Get Any Better!

Absolutely fantastic! Everyone was very cordial. The best was free shuttle to and from anywhere you would like to go. No matter the time, the shuttle bus was sent out to pick you up wherever you were in Detroit. No cabs. Best Service. Safe. I will definitely be staying here again if I ever venture back to Detroit.

Fans of historic preservation stay here

Last time my friend and I went to Detroit for the annual Labor Day jazz fest we lodged at a 2-star place near Corktown. I expected the travel site would give us as much this time, but no! The Inn is rich in history with engaged and friendly staff and a free shuttle to anyplace within 5 miles of the Inn. Recommended for anyone with a love for Detroit, its history and historic structures.

One of Detroit's Gems

My stay at the Inn on Ferry Street was fantastic and was an incredible part of a superb 50th Birthday Celebration. The check-in process was seamless, the room was perfect and the staff was phenomenial. I am a native Detroiter and I would recommend the Inn to anyone who is looking to spend some time in a quaint, quiet space located within the cultural center of the city.

Great Downtown Detriot stay

Went to see Jersey Boys at the Fisher Theatre. Not being familar with Detroit, I was attracted to the shuttle service. The stay was 12/21, so with the holiday they weren't as busy as usual. The shuttle driver,Robert gave us a brief tour of Detriot.Among the sites we drove by was Motown. We were taken promptly to dinner.Picked up and driven to the theatre in the same fashion. The breakfast was very good.Lots of fresh fruit and pecans with your waffles. The room was clean. The bed comfortable. It was a great experience.Highly recommend.

The location was great for going to the Fisher Theatre. It was also a good location to several restaurants. We ate at the Union Street restaurant which had a 30s Art Deco setting. The food was good and moderately priced.

Quaint Surprise in Cultural Area of Detroit

The Inn on Ferry Street is a very comfortable, clean, unique B&B that doesn't leave you feeling like you are staying in someone's home. Each room is unique and comfortable. The Inn offers a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up within a 5 mile or so radius. The breakfast selection is excellent and fulfilling. I have turned so many friends on to the Inn. I can't wait for another exscuse to stay - it's only 30 miles from my home.

Warm and Friendly Accomodations

The historical buildings were something you would not always have a chance to see while in the city and provided a real flavor of the history of Detroit. The shuttle service makes access to all the events downtown convenient and the staff is always right there with their assistance, making sure you have whatever you need.

Entertainment tip: Long walk from hotel

The sporting events are never ending with Ford Field, Comerica Park and the Joe Lewis Arena. There are many amazing shows and concerts at the Fox and State Theatres. Add to that the casinos, dining, dancing and about every other type of entertainment and there is always something to do in Detroit.
