Convenient Location, Polite Staff
Amory Jul 21, 2009
The location is convenient to the airport (8 miles). It is next to a town center style mall which has a good variety of ... sit-down chain restaurants, and some good luxury (and regular) shopping for anything you might want or need. The hotel held my room for a late arrival, very late arrival, as it turned out (4 a.m.). We stayed two nights. Room service was just fine, and even followed up an hour after delivery to make sure we were happy. We ate at only one of the hotel restaurants, and it was well prepared Italian food. I'd definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who asks, and wants to be close to the airport.

Nice Hotel
Seasoned Traveler Jul 20, 2009
This hotel was beautiful! The amenities, location, and service was great. --What I did not like was the complaint. There ... were five mature women. Radio playing softly in the background. We get a knock. It was a soft knock. We answer the door only to learn someone complained about us. --The security gurard was astounded because upon his arrival it was not noisy nor was the music loud. That only leads me to conclude that the walls are thin. We found this doubly hilarious, because we were all retired teachers who wanted to see each other and just came for a girl's weekend. All is well that ends well. I would definitely return with conditions.

Great vacation getaway
Chuckie Jun 29, 2009
My overall experience was great. I visited Michigan to surprise my mom for her birthday. I did some site seeing and visited ... with family and friends. The location of the hotel was nice, right in the middle making it easier to get to the family. Very nice staff and the room was very spacious with a nice comfy bed. Would recommend to my friends and family.

The place to stay in Detroit area
Vana travel-lover Jun 28, 2009
I was in the Detroit area to visit a friend and had many activities planned. The hotel was a wonderful "home base" for me. ... It is so convenient to everything. But beyond that, the hotel is beautiful, the staff were wonderful and friendly, room service was awesome, the accomodations were top-notch. Staying there made my trip complete!!! While in the area I went to some local attractions and shows. I saw Grease at the Fisher Theater, with the incredible Taylor Hicks as teen angel. That is a fantastic theater. I went to casinos in the area, crossed the border into Canada and drove to Niagara Falls, caught some local bands at night spots and in general had a blast. After each days' activities I returned to the Hyatt and had restful nights. Waking up to the view from the eleventh floor was awesome, especially when a thunderstorm hit the second night of my trip. I love thunderstorms... I could not have chosen a better place to stay for my vacation. I will stay there every time I visit the area from now on. There was nothing missing. I have stayed at many hotels in my travels and I have to say that the Hyatt Regency Dearborn is now one of my very favorites! I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting the Detroit area. It is superb!!!

Why I'll stay at a Hyatt next trip....
Travellin Jon Jun 2, 2009
I arrived at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn and quickly found plenty of parking close to the hotel. For travelers, you're ... aware how difficult this can be at times. I walked in to what was a very spacious and multi-function lobby. Finding the check-in was quick and direct. I arrived very early, and asked when the soonest I might be able to check in was (I had traveled redeye and hadn't slept in about 24 hours.) The gentleman that was on duty accommodated me immediately - well before standard check-in, and took care of all of my questions. Five accessible (and speedy) elevators offered delivery to my floor. I settled into what was an exceptionally clean and well-prepared room. For my entire trip, I had peace and quiet. No room noise, no obnoxious light when I was trying to sleep. The gal that checked me out the following morning was also exceptionally friendly (hard to do at 5am, I think.) Overall? I'll look to book Hyatt on future trips if possible. I was really that impressed.

nice hotel, bad location
hockey fanatic Jun 1, 2009
The overall experience was good. the staff was nice and helpful. I did think the king size bed there seemed small. My ... feet really hung over the bed. And I had to unplug a light or two just so I could charge my cell phone and use my laptop at the same time. Kind of cheap I thought, as nice of a hotel it was.

Staying at this hotel, you will definetly be needing a rental car. The restaurants and shopping in the area was a little scary to me. I felt more comfortable a little further out from the hotels location, at other restaurants, nightlife, and shopping places.

Landmark hotel with friendly vibe
Fluter May 23, 2009
If you're visiting Detroit, you really should stay here, it's an attraction in itself and will impress the locals. This is a ... landmark hotel with a friendly attentive staff, an impressive lobby, perfect rooms and an excellent restaurant and bar. The fitness center is *fully* equipped, just like your gym at home, and that's rare at any hotel. You can also borrow a GPS and run the great outdoors. This is also one of the few hotels left where you can get evening turn-down service. I was especially impressed with the breakfast bar offerings. Room service was unusually accommodating to my fussiness and fast. (I'm a former road warrior, have stayed in every kind of hotel there is.) Definitely this is the place to stay in Detroit metro, I will be back.
