Good business trip value
The hotel was a little hard to find; it is located back away from the main road and has a small sign. This was a great hotel in it's day but is now a little shopworn. Best feature: large heated pool and whirlpool spa. The staff was very friendly and helpful in locating restaurants. The room and bathroom were clean and appropriately supplied with towels, soap, ice bucket, etc. Once the Ritz, but now a good value.

La Perla is a very basic Mexican restaurant located in a Mexican grocery store. No glamor but really great authentic and inexpensive food. Very popular with the locals.

Practical 2012
GROSS hotel - DO NOT RESERVE!
Attendant required extra fee/person/day! "to cover 'free' breakfast" and because room was reserved for only 1 thru Orb.... I pay for xtras past 4 but not past 1! "best rooms" = dirty moldy tub, tiles falling off, smelled of urine, gross & old at best. Only partial refund even though we didn't stay at all. They housed total 12 people that night. BEWARE of Orb... Cancellation Policy - only as good as the hotel's policy.

Not a nice city. Creepy and police dept is busy! Better to spend more on a decent hotel closer to beach and other rainy-day activities.

Class Reunion
Overall experience was positive. Good value for price. Could pay a little more attention to cleaning as there were cobwebs in the corners of the room, but besides that and the fact that there was a $2 fee to rent an iron, it was a good stay. I'd stay there again.

Good for the price
A good place to stay for an inexpensive price. With a pool, hot tub, breakfast, fitness center...definitely worth 50 bucks. A little worn down and used, but again, worth the 50 bucks. Close to the beach.

Staff were friendly and extremely helpful, The new owner of 6 months is obviously upgrading the hotel as the only negative thing that I could say was a bit of smell in the corridor that was not in the room so did not bother us much. Things were clean and the room was comfortable with all the amenities of places that cost lots more than the terrific deal we got Thanks guys we enjoyed our stay with you!
