Only 5 miles from casino, next to many good chain restaurants and fast food. Very easy access from I-94. Downtown only 5 miles away. walking distance from mall.

Motel Stay Almost

I checked and went to my room. It was dirty and there were guys walking all over outside drinking beer in sacks and the whole place looked very seedy. I told the manager I could not stay and he graciously and quickly refunded my stay.

Filthy, Rude, & Unaccommodating

There was foreign hair in the bed and all over the bathroom. There were urchins lurking around the parking lot. The air conditioner was a roaring relic which only worked when turned on full blast. Then it was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. The door cards didn't work and after approaching the desk repeatedly (at the far end of the building) trying to get in the room, rather than come and assist, the front desk attendant (while viewing the problem from servielance camera) chose to get up and leave the desk instead. After calling out repeatedly, "hello, is anyone here?" I noticed there was a bell to ring for assistance. After ringing the bell I could hear the attendant get up from a chair in the next room ~ obviously, while I could hear her arising from a chair, she could hear me asking for assistance but chose to ignore the need until I rang the stupid bell. After opening the room door, the door would be stuck on the carpet in the opened position and had to be forcibly wrestled closed each time. They advertise coffee pots in the room as an amenity (of which there are precious few) but fail to mention they don't provide coffee to brew in them. They said they were out of coffee and would be for the duration of my stay. How hard would it be to run to GFS and get some coffee to accommodate guests anyway? I asked for a late check out, as I was staying there to sleep between shifts while working in the area. There are plenty of other hotels/motels in the area which accommodate such a schedule. I'm not sure why it was a problem for these folks, seeing how no one was beating down the doors to get in to this place. The manager himself (an Indian fellow) called me himself, rousing me from sleep, shouting at me to "get out". The "help" appeared to be live-ins and were anything but helpful. The majority of the time there was no one at the service desk and yet when there was someone in attendance I found myself wishing there weren't because they were SO rude. When my husband couldn't reach me by cell phone he called the front desk and they told him I had already checked out (when I had just checked in), scaring the daylights out of him. These people woke me up at every opportunity. I especially couldn't understand why they were trying to get in the room, under the guise of cleaning it, when A) I had just checked in three hours prior and B) they obviously don't put a whole lot of effort into cleaning those rooms on any other occassion. This was the most disturbibg, restless, aggravating, unpleasant stay I have had in the Battle Creek area. I frankly don't know how this place keeps its doors opened.

I needed to stop for the night after a long drive. The value was good and I am not complaining,. The problem is there was a smell in the room , I am nit sure if it was cigarette from a non abiding customer. Some towels were yellowish and some had a stain. i used my own towel which i packed. the smell of the bed and pillows were ok and the bed was long enough. i am ok with the room as a place to get some rest. There were no plugs at the table to plug my computer.

Good price

I went there to attend a funeral with my family. The hotel was cheap and with lot's of places to eat near the hotel. It was also near the highway that's where the good ended. The room had many broken and worn out things like the security latch on the door, no clock in the room, beds were very uncomvortable. If you're there for a quick stay and need nothing but a roof over your head and somewhere to lay down it's perfect. The free international breakfast was extremely limited, packaged danishes, toast, 2 types of cereal and old apples and oranges.

In town 2 days for an interview and needed an inexpensive place to stay. About what you would expect for the price. Front desk staff were very polite and helpful and the room was clean although a bit dated. There was no closet and the rack for hanging clothes was positioned awkwardly right above the mini-fridge. No iron or ironing board which was a problem since I wanted to iron my suit. Just steamed it in the bathroom by running the shower instead. The hotel has wireless but I could not get it to connect for my laptop. Very weak signal. While there is a computer in the lobby, there is no option to print boarding passes if you want to check in online for a flight. However, one of the hotel staff helped me out by letting me print it on her personal printer which was very kind of her. Breakfast available from 6-10 am.

Hotel is very near many fast-food and strip mall restaurants - pizza hut is in the same parking lot. Wendy's nearby, thai place just down the street.

Not many redeeming qualities

The best things we can say about our stay at this Travelodge is that the water in the shower was good and hot, and the location right off the highway was convenient. Otherwise...the room was very small, furniture was shabby, drapes didn't cover the whole window, the "cottage cheese" on the ceiling was falling in places, no smoke alarm (there was a hole in the ceiling where it used to be), the remote to the television didn't work, there was a strange smell in the room, and the heater/air conditioner was so loud we could hardly sleep. Turning it off was not an option as the room got very chilly when we tried that. All in all, we couldn't recommend this unless every motel in the area was full and travelers desperately needed a place to stay.

Very close to Lakeview Square Mall and many restaurants. Also was only about 4-5 miles from the center of downtown. Easy on and off access to the highway.

Great Place

I had a very good experience. I initially paid for a one bed room. But, when I told the manager that I was having trouble with the television and wireless internet in that room he immediately moved me into a 2 bedroom suite without any questions!

Not bad, could have been better.

Nice rooms, clean, quiet. Nice big fridge. But...WiFi and microwave not in all rooms, we had to switch rooms (after unpacking :( )to get WiFi and Micro. Juice machine broken both mornings, no juice at all first morn. pitcher with Apple j. 2nd morn. Bananas too ripe 2nd day. BK included 2 breakfast cereals, milk, bananas, apples, assorted packaged danish, muffins and bread for toast. Price reasonable but probably would not stay again.
