Can't be any better :)
at my last visit this month i notices that the hotel never stopped updating, beside the furniture, mattress and bedding which relatively new, i noticed the new tile in the vanity area which gave the room very nice look .. good job

Nice place
We were really happy to find such a clean and friendly place when we stayed here. The pool and hot tub was perfectly warm, the bed was super comfy and there were lots of choices for breakfast. The housekeepers were friendly and so was the girl on the desk. we will definitely stay there again!

Better than some
We had visited the City to go to the Binder Zoo. The night before the area had endured a bad storm that made the morning visit to the zoo impossible. It was obvious that the motel was in renovation. There were people working on the facade and around the motel. The staff was exceptional, friendly, and ready to please. The continental breakfast was quite nice with all the trimmings. The room was very nice, but the pool area was in need of a good cleaning in that the deck was very dirty with tracked in soil, things left from customer and the pool furniture was in need of replacing.

Not sure why this hotel had so
Not sure why this hotel had so many bad comments, our stay was great. The staff was friendly and accomodating of our bachelorette party. Pool & hot tub were fantastic! Clean rooms looked like they had been recently remodeled. I would stay here again!

We stayed at the hotel because of a hockey tournament. It was nice and quiet, close to everyhting. Staff was great. They even allowed us to check in at 10am in between games which I know they didn't have to because original check in time is at 3pm.

Not Great, but Not a Total Stinker
We're local, but our power was out for 48 hours after a big storm. Our house was extremely cold and we have two small children, so we went to the Baymont. It's close to my husband's job and my kids' school and daycare. The staff is very friendly and fairly helpful. The desk clerk was able to find a rate that was comparable to online rates so that I wouldn't have to make a reservation (and was actually a little better than online advertised rates!) and saved me a little time. However: it took two different tries to get working key cards. There is not an ice machine on the first floor. The sodas in the machine were extremely overpriced ($1.25 for a can of Diet Coke or a small bottle of water!) and were several months past the "Best By" date on the bottom. They tasted old and the machine did not keep them very cold at all. The rooms were clean, but the toilet ran, and the room was small--we had to move things like the ironing board in order to have a place to set up my daughter's portable crib. We really enjoyed the pool -- it was extremely warm and we were the only ones there -- and the hot tub. We should have waited to go to the hot tub until the next morning, because the beds were so hard it felt like we'd been sleeping on the floor. I normally like a firmer-than-average bed, but this was way too hard even for me. Even my five-year-old son complained about how hard the beds were. The breakfast buffet was okay, nothing special, but I was really troubled that the food delivery that had just been received by the hotel was being put away by a staff member who was obviously working by herself and extremely pregnant. She was lifting and moving 30-40 pound boxes by herself. This isn't particularly safe or kind, and the desk clerk, who was young and male, should really have been the one to move the boxes. I probably wouldn't stay here again. For one thing, we were here really only because of being in a significant pinch. For another, the beds were really too uncomfortable to sleep in. And finally, they don't appear to have much regard for their staff.

Unexpectedly Nice
Visiting family in the area just a mile away from the hotel. The location is great, just off of I-94. Tons of shopping just a mile or so away down Beckley including Walmart, Meijer, a mall, and TONS of food options. The pool and jacuzzi was nice and well kept. Deluxe continental breakfast was included and well stocked with fresh food being brought out all the time, though you should steer clear of the waffles. Bed was slightly hard, but passable, and the rooms were clean and nicely kept. Wifi was fast and TV had many stations for a hotel. The TV was a big nice flat screen and the furniture in the room looked new. Service staff was wonderfully helpful and kind.

Need more or new maid service staff!
31 of our huge family met and stayed here for our youngest sibling's local wedding. The location was good and front desk staff were responsive. Had cleanliness not been sadly lacking, especially in the rooms, everyone would have been quite satisfied. We made use of the lobby/meeting/breakfast room to gather and play games during our 3 day/night stay, with barely any overlap or conflict with other groups. We appreciated the tolerant staff when our excitement at winning a game reached into the higher decibels. We have met in other locations prior with similar amenities and again, had the maid staff done a better job, it would have ranked amongst the best places for the price in all our travels.
