Hyatt Place Detroit/Auburn Hills

I had stayed at this hotel a year ago and had been very pleased, so I reserved here again. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious and the staff will go out of their way to be helpful and make sure your stay is pleasant. My biggest concern when I travel is that my room is clean. These rooms are spotless. The bathroom and shower almost seem brand new. The beds are very comfortable. I especially like the "sitting" area with the wet bar area and the work desk being separated from the sleeping area. The free breakfast in the morning is very good, with a great variety to choose from. This trip I ordered lunch from the cafe when I got there and it was served quickly and was also very good. I was in town for my daughter's college graduation, so I had booked a room for my parents also. I was not there when my parents arrived, but they told me that the staff was very pleasant and helpful to them also.

Excellent value, nice rooms, comfortable beds, great tv. Wifi was slow and finally, the food was good but had reason to think the staff were filling too many functions. In short, not comfortable with hyatt quality food being prepared by the night auditor who was also tending bar and the front desk. ?! I'm sure it's heat and serve, but still, we're talking about food. I asked about his training... (nope). He wasn't the only one. I watched another multi-tasker donn kitchen gloves only to pick up the phone at the front desk and return to food prep. Nice people though. Price was great.

This hotel is literally "down the street" from the Palace. It was a great value and a very nice room! TV was huge and on a swivel, a FULL size sectional couch and ottoman, and a sink/bar/fridge in the room! Also a full-size blow-dryer and full-length mirror - it was perfect for our "girls night out" stay.

The Hyatt Place was conviently located about 2miles from where I was working which made travel much easier. There are great places to eat along Unversity Dr. as well. I stayed in the King Suite which had a nice 42" LCD with every connection you can think of for connecting a laptop or game system (Component, HDMI, VGA). Overall the room was great and the bed comfortable. What really impressed me was the staff. Each morning and evening I was greated with cheerful and helpful staff that didn't hesitate to help with breakfast or dinner requests at later hours (9-10pm). The only negative point I would bring up is the fitness center. There are some bikes and trendmills but no weights. Good for a quick cardio workout but that's about it.

Nice place to stay. Close to the mall and the palace. Rooms are big and roomy. Only thing the place lacked was a hot tub.

It was a very good hotel, staff was great and very accommodating. Room was awesome, with a pretty comfy bed. I would have definitely liked to stay there longer than just overnight.

The hotel was amazing! They really have wonderful rooms and facilities. The only complaints I have is that the breakfast area can get cramped really quickly and it can be hard to get to the food. The room was really amazing, it is like staying in a suite because there is a bedroom area and and living room/ kitchen area. We didn't hear any noise from the rooms on either side of us or the room above us which was pretty amazing because the place was packed! The only noise we ever heard outside our room was through the door. If they had a door that was a bit thicker we would have thought we had the place to ourselves. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying there again when I head back home to MI!
