good service and good value for money
My first visit to Ann Arbor and for business and I chose the Hawthorn Suites on price over Holiday Inn and other local hotels, and because the room amenitites (kitchenette and free wifi) suited well. The free breakfasts and dinners were good although note that the dinners only run Mon-Thur. Made good use of the free hotel shuttle and have to thank the nice man who got up to take me to the office at 7:30am. Also my flight didn't land until 7:45pm and I had no problems with the late check in. Only critism is that they could offer a little more in the hotel shop although there is a very good superstore on the same complex.

Not what I expected
I booked a suite at this hotel because of the reviews. We were moving our daughter to Ann Arbor and knew we'd finish up early and wanted a nice relaxing room to crash in before our return trip home to Pennsylvania. We were not necessarily looking for a suite, but I thought with the price and the reviews that it would be a decent place. The suite needed updating, the upholstery on the furniture was dirty, and there was rust on the wall in the bathroom because there was no bathroom fan. The steam from the bathroom made the bedroom uncomfortable so we turned on the air conditioner only to find it was so loud we couldn't sleep while it was running. The bed was very uncomfortable forcing us to discuss just leaving in the middle of the night instead of remaining.I would not book a room at this hotel again.

for the price it was excellent!
The hotel has the new white duvet covers so you don't have to worry what may have happened previously to the coverlet. Very tidy-nice breakfast. Very courteous staff. Great stay all around.

Excellent for daily workouts
My stay here far exceeded my expectations! Swimming in the pool with the floor to ceiling windows was such a pleasent way to start each day. My room was spacious, and full of all the extras you get in a five star hotel. I could stay here for several weeks without a second thought!! The hotel was so immaculate that I thought it must be new. It was indeed a tribute to excellent management.

very comfortable!
this was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The room had alot of space, was very clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The separate living room (couch and chair, coffee table) was awesome. Having a full kitchen was great. The bathroom with its separate vanity made for a spacious area to get ready.I would gladly stay there again!
