Perfect for visiting the University

I took my daughter to visit U of M and chose this hotel for its location, double beds and price. It was a great choice. The room was clean, very comfortable, roomy and in like new condition. The location is essentially across the street from North Campus.

Weekend getaway

We had a pleasant stay, the breakfast was wonderful, staff was great, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is in need of updating and the common areas weren't as clean as they could've been (i.e. Elevators, hallways, lobby). The location is convenient, right off the highway and close to cvs and a few restaurants.

Great hotel with Applebees attached

I had a great experience staying at the Ann Arbor Hampton Inn. Everything was clean and very comfortable. I liked that there was a clean indoor pool and a work out room (although it consisted of a treadmill and a stairclimber only). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was tasty, but a little sparse on the protein compared to other places I have been (then again, I am partial to biscuits and gravy, which are more common in hotels in the south). I also liked that there is an Applebees attached to the hotel, so I didn't have to go out in the sub-zero January temperatures for lunch or dinner. Overall it was a great stay despite the sub-zero weather.

awsomse staff

The staff was great. Went for my daughters birthday and the management went out and bought her a cake and card that everybody signed . Then they sang her happy birthday. She was so tickled. Such nice people. The only thing the hotel needed was a hot tub but everything was fantastic. Thank You.

Not as good as we hoped

We've stayed at Hampton Inns around the country, and this is one of the less appealing hotels. Even though it's not that old, it conveys the feeling of being a worn property. The bed was a bit lumpy; the bathroom had awful lighting, was small, and was uninviting. Shortly after arriving, someone came into our room without knocking or announcing themselves- or tried to. Good thing we had the chain on the door to keep them from fully entering. When we told the front desk, they just shrugged and said that it must have been maintenance. So odd!

Hampton Inn North

The staff was very nice. No Hot Tub, but they had free cookies. Hampton Inn has the most comfortable beds of any Hotel chain and we travel at least one weekend a month. Cheers

Hidden room charge

I stayed here specifically for being able to bring my dog. We have stayed numerous times at a lesser hotel because the accepted pets. I finally decided that 124 a night was worth cleanliness. When we checked in I was hit with an additional 50 dollar pet fee. No where on theHampton inn site was this pointed out. I am not sure about other folks, but spending 330 bucks for 2 nights in a non resort town is way out of bounds. The room was clean and nice but really not worth paying 180 more than the local daze inn. Yes I spelled it that way on purpose
