OK for the money

At least it's cheap
The only thing that this hotel has going for it is price. The building is in terrible condition, the freeway traffic was vibrating things in the room, and the staff kept yelling to eachother down the halls. If all you want is a place to pass out after a fun night this place might be for you.

Problems
Lousy, When Checked in the clerk did not ask for identification. I went to the front desk for breakfast fair selection, but not to my standard for a days inn. out of coffee and no one paying attention to it. not much selection. was on my way to the front desk because the mircowave in my room was broken it turned on but did not get warm. i tried cooking a tv dinner and after 15 minutes of trying to cook it. i went to the front desk. There was a lady in the hallway which had been at the front desk earlier in the morning i had asked her to have it changed the next day after i checked out and asked her where i could use another microwave she told me at the front desk. I thanked her and left. Later that day i recieved a knock on my door from the maintenance person with a new microwave however i told him that there was a do not disturb sign on the door so why are you knocking. I told him that i did not want it until after i check out. I than closed the door to resume my nap. I went to go to the pool which is in another building my key did not work. went to the desk and lady said that it probably wasn't programmed for two days she fixed and it still did not work. went back and she said someone would let me in. The maintenance guy was drianing the spa so could not use that. the room was cold the hallways are cold. i went back this evening to use the spa and the door still would not work. so i went back to the desk and the guy said he would get someone to let me in but i waited outside the door in the rain at 36 degrees for 10 minutes in tshirt and swimming trunks and froze because no one came to let me in so i went back to my room. in my room the screen door is off the track and leaning up on the wall on the balcony. the hotel is a little old and dated but overall fairly good looking hotel. also i asked whether i could put my wyndham rewards number in but did not earn any points

OK for the money
The value was good for the price, but the whole place had a musty smell; maybe they had some water damage at one point? Or maybe the carpet is just really old. The cable didn't have many of the channels that was printed on their card. The location was very convenient and the service ok. Didn't eat the breakfast but it looked pretty good.

Horrible
I previously lived in Ann Arbor and I knew the area, but the privacy doors to the inside of the hotel were broken. Hallways were dirty and smelled horrible (broken off acrylic nail laying on floor for the 2 days I was there. I was on the second floor and my balcony sliding door didn't lock and the screen door was laying on the balcony. The bathroom was dirty and the knob in the shower to change the water stream from tub to shower was missing and the hotel replaced it with a stereo knob that said volume. The refrigerator in the room was dirty . The breakfast in lobby seemed very stale. Horrible place

Clean Room-Unprofessional Desk Clerks
I stayed at Days Inn because it was centrally located for the reason I was there. The desk clerks were rude (T), loud (J) and spent too much time socializing and talking on their cellphone (J) when I needed help with my key card. My key card rarely worked, so I spent a lot of time having it reprogrammed. However, the room was very clean and the housekeepers were very pleasant and their service were hands down the best I've experienced. I had a clean room every day.

Noodles and Company in the the Arbor Land Shopping center (less than a half mile around the corner). Healthy and affordable. The salads were great, but so was every pasta dish and soup we tried.
