Modern decor, clean, nice.
I spent one night at the Courtyard Ann Arbor while visiting the University of Michigan campus. I had a rental car, so driving the 2 or so miles to the campus was very convenient. The decor in the lobby was simple and modern, with a large LCD screen showing the current weather and news headlines as you walk in. The room was comfortable and had free wi-fi. The only thing I would have liked would have been a complimentary continental breakfast, but they have great free coffee in the lobby and a nice little bistro where you can grab something to eat (although you have to pay). The staff was very friendly, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great Lobby
I loved the renovated lobby and cool features like a touch screen on a huge flat screen that allowed you to find restaurants and then print out the directions to them. I did not know the hotel was under renovation and the day before check in I was informed that the room type I had booked was not available.

I recommend Seva restaurant, the best vegetarian food I've ever experienced. This includes travel to southern California, Bahamas, Hawaii, Carribean etc. Most of my guests were not vegetarian and all loved it.

Epic Shaft-The Unvierse can be so Cruel
Friendly staff. The room seemed dirty and dingy. We only stayed one night, but the next day my spouse had bug bites on her back. This should have been a tipoff, but we'd never experienced this before and didn't realize the significance. Long story short, we've had to deal with a bed-bug problem ever since our stay and it's been a nightmare; a very expensive, painful, itchy nightmare. I know it's not completely the hotel's fault, but this is such a huge/gigantic/colossal inconvenience that objectivity was hurled out the window a long time ago and I curse the day I ever booked this hotel. Was it bad luck, just dues (I don't think so), or am I the butt of some cruel cosmic joke? I don't know. Here's what I do know: the Universe owes me big time. Do you hear me, Universe?!?! BIG TIME!!!

pretty good
stayed one night for a wedding. hotel was clean, but the lobby was under construction and the check in was in a makeshift location next to a maintenance closet. that was a little off putting, but other than that everything was fine.
