Tons of perks

In addition to a great location, this hotel has a decent continental breakfast and good wifi access. The only real problem is a lack of a bar, but the value more than makes up for that...

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

Visit the Grizzly Peak. Great beer, and excellent food. Green cab has a 10 dollar special from the Briarwood area to downtown, which is the best way to visit downtown if you plan on having a few brews!

Good Affordable Hotel

Very convenient location. Just off the freeway but no freeway noise. 20 mins from DTW airport. 5-7 mins from Ann Arbor downtown/U-M. Hotel was clean. Full hot breakfast was good. Nice swimming pool and hot tub. Printer didnt have paper. Computer has 20 min limit per session forced by the system. Nice clean linen and cool pillows. Flat screen TV with MSNBC and HBO!!

A Fine Family Stay, but Nothing Special

The hotel was overall decent. I don't have anything that I particularly loved or hated about it. The one thing that stands out was that the towels were very thin and so not that comfy. And the breakfast buffet was fine - it was nice for my 3-year-old to be able to make her own waffle - but nothing that special. We preferred to go out whenever we could to visit some of the great Ann Arbor restaurants (Seva, Afternoon Delight, Amer's, Jolly Pumpkin, etc.). But again, they provided everything we needed for a very reasonable price, including a crib for our 5-month-old, and it was easy enough to access places around Ann Arbor from there, so I don't really have complaints even if nothing stood out as being a great reason to pick this hotel over others.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Take advantage of all the local places to eat in downtown Ann Arbor. They have a variety of very good, interesting food - and especially vegetarian-friendly as well. The places around the hotel are all chains, so it is worth driving up State Street into the main areas, parking in a garage, and enjoying some high-quality food and atmosphere.

comfortable, clean hotel

We stayed here while dropping our freshman daughter off at UMich. The location was very convenient by car, but nothing special. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was very good and had "something for everyone."

hotel review

Room was exactly as pictured online. Traveled for a funeral, so I didn't use the pool or fitness area. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, slept very well. Location was close to where I needed to go. Only bad thing was the breakfast area was very crowded and ran out of eggs. There seem to be some sports teams staying there when we were there

We slept in a sauna all night

We slept in a sauna all night as the air conditioning was out of control. Otherwise might have been a fair experience - apart from the breakfast. Find a diner instead.
