Good location but dated
The location near GVSU is excellent, room was clean, although the heater in the room didn't work - never kicked on. Staff was very friendly. The exercise room is a joke - the equipment was very old and non-functioning. The heater in the room didn't work - never kicked on. The pool looked like it could use some maintenance, as well. No wi-fi was a available, not even paid - only wired internet.

Or stay was OK. The pillows were tiny, the mattress not very comfortable, no bath tub, and pool freezing. The room was clean, and they offered many different channels on the TV.

Grand Valley State
If you are doing anything at GSVU this hotel is within walking distance; barely over half a mile. Facilities are nice and the staff is friendly. There is nothing that stands out worth mentioning but also nothing to complain about.

One night away
King size bedroom, pretty average. Did not like the sliding door for the bathroom and that vanity was in the bedroom. Okay for the price.

Nice location for drive to Grand Haven
Planned a trip to Grand Haven and was looking for some place to stay not right in Grand Haven for better pricing...Just a nice drive that evening, passing several road side markets. The hotel and the room was nice and clean, plenty of towels...bathroom was very small but very clean, fine for just two people...air conditioning was working great in the room. Nice continental breakfast

Great family getaway
Spent the day at the beach in Grand Haven and went to Michigans Adventure. The hotel was a half hour from Grand Haven and 40-50 mins from Michigans Adventure. Nice being away from the city you don't have to listen to the traffic. The hotel room was a little small but for the amount of time we spent in it, it was just fine.

Eating at Main St. Pub in front of the hotel gave you 10% off meals if you show your key card from hotel. Great food and the staff was really nice.

Surprisingly nice for the price
The staff was very polite about resolving a perceived issue concerning my credit card and especially helpful in finding a local winery for us. The lobby was large and comfortable. The fitness room only had one each of a treadmill, bicycle, and elliptical; only the elliptical was completely functional. The fitness room TV was working so it was an enjoyable workout. We stayed in a handicapped-accessible room on the first floor and my husband loved the spacious bathroom with a built-in shower bench which were lacking at other hotels' handicapped-accessible rooms. This hotel is about 20 minutes west of downtown Grand Rapids. On the way downtown there are two golf courses, a variety of restaurants and a Meijer. We were there to visit our daughter. Our son drove up from Kalamazoo so we all went to lunch Main Street Pub across the parking lot from the hotel and then shopping at the Woodlands Mall in Wyoming, just southeast of Grand Rapids. My only complaint about the hotel is that there was not enough condiments for the in-room coffee.
