Great place for a staycation
Keeping our money in Michigan Aug 2, 2009
GREAT place to stay with kids. The hotel and restaurant staff were very helpful, patient and friendly. We decided to do a ... staycation in Michigan and see the sights we so often take for granted. The Henry Ford, Greenfield Village and the Detroit Zoo were wonderful destinations for our family. Awesome time. The price was great and the facilities were wonderful for a family with kids.

Very nice staff. Only bad thing is there were a bunch of little leaguers staying on our floor and they were NOISY! Staff did ... move us at our request, but I don't think kids should use a hotel as a dormitory, decorating doors and sitting in hallways eating cereal. But I know that times are tough and rooms are hard to fill... Free shuttle to the Henry Ford and airport!

Joanne Jul 4, 2009
I was in Detroit for a family emergency. It was very close to the hospital so that worked out great. There was also ... everything I needed close by. Besides having a nice restaurant with great service there were many other choices of restaurants as well as grocery, book store, Target, etc very near by. Easy access to all. I was exhausted when I finally arrived at 9 PM and my check-in couldn't have taken them more than 2 minutes to check me in. Everything was very clean and the staff were great. I would stay there again in a heart beat. Very quiet too. I was in a nonsmoking room which was great but the hallway outside the room was pretty smokey. I absolutely could not smell the smoke in my room. They need to try to either separate the smoking rooms better or exhaust the hallway better.

We came to Michigan to see some baseball games at Comerica Park. We selected this hotel because it is approximately halfway ... between the airport and Comerica Park. There is a free airport shuttle so we only needed to take a cab from the hotel to Comerica Park, which was about $25 each way. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. We had a Sunday breakfast buffet at the hotel for $9 and thought is was very good. For the price, this is a very decent hotel.

This is an average facility. Based on the photos, I expected it to be a little nicer than it is. I requested a non-smoking ... room. My son and I both detected a faint smoke odor in the room. When I called to ask if maybe they had put us in a smoking room by mistake, I was asked if I was sure of the smell; as if I was imagining things. Upon further pressing, the desk attendant admitted that this room was located above a smoking room and maybe the smell had wafted up through the ducts. This was explained in a way that inferred that I should know that. She did offer to change our room, which I accepted. The second room smelled much better. However, for some reason, workers and employees kept going in and out of the outside door by our room. And, they seemed to find something to fix with a drill, or vacuum early each morning, before we had gotten up.

Evening at the Theater
Spamalot fan Mar 3, 2009
We booked a night at this hotel because it was close to the Fisher Theater where we had tickets to an evening show for ... Valentine's Day. Finding food after coming back from the show (after 10pm) was tough unless you wanted fast food. The sound from a neighboring room was just loud enough to keep us awake but once that stopped it was very quiet. The service in the restaurant for breakfast the next morning could have been better but it wasn't terrible.

Kathy Oct 7, 2008
I was in Detroit visiting relatives and wanted to stay at a hotel so I wouldn't inconvenience my family by my early hours and ... late nights. I loved the location for this hotel and the staff was very nice. I would have loved the restaurant to stay open later then it was (It closed at 10:00) and I arrived there around 10:00 and was starving and there was nothing in the area open at that time besides some fast-food a mile down the road. I went into their tiny gift shop/business center (which was located behind the front desk and looked like it was a converted office) I was looking for a snack and they told me that they had it in there. I went and they were all out of it (as well as out of several other things) it really was a very small room. That was the only inconveniencing thing about that trip. I enjoyed myself and will definitly stay there again.

Kathleen Sep 4, 2008
I was very pleased with the room. It was very comfortable and very clean. Even though (a few weeks before) when I stayed for ... 4 days the bathtub didn't drain the water out (the stopper was broke). The staff was good (kind of rude at the front desk)must have caught them at a bad time. It would have been nice if the maid spoke English. They couldn't understand anything I needed, so I just gave up. Will I stay there again? I doubt it very much. It is about the only close Hotekl to my business adventures but I most likely will pick another hotel the next time. I guess the only way I can explain the situation is two strikes and your out!

The Best Western Greenfield Inn was a very good buy for the money. The room was very spacious (king deluxe). I loved having ... a wireless computer connect in the room since I had a lot of work to do online. The towels were soft and fluffy, and they bathroom toiletries were great. I did not have good directions to access the hotel, so it took me longer than I liked to find it. The room was quiet, the TV large, lots of channel selections. And, I had an exercise bike in the room! This was fabulous since I use one at home too. I would use it again and have no problems recommending it to friends.

This hotel was lovely! From the moment you walk into the lobby you felt as if you were really in a special place, itis ... beautiful. The room was so nice, clean and very comfortable. Even the hallways had a classy look. The pool area, with hot tub and steam room were great! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The only thing I was disappointed there were no resturants in the immediate area. Also, there was no continetal breakfast so you were limited and had to eat in their dining room which was a little pricey. Otherwise this hotel was picture perfect charming and quaint.

This hotel is right off the expressway and just 10 minutes away from the casinos in downtown Detroit as well as 10 minutes away from Henry Ford Greedfield Village. It is about 10 minutes from the airport too. Also, not far from Oakland county which has lovely malls and is enroute to Northern Michigan resorts.
