spring break

My son needs to eat every couple hours because of a medical reason. I could not get a hold if room service at all for 2days. I told the the person working the front desk, when i checked out a day early . At 9pm then drove 3 hours back home. I had to resort to going off the grounds to get food. Which took time away from us enjoying ourselves. With the lack of service and the loud construction and uncleanness I will never come back nor recommend this hotel to anyone .

Unhappy Wedding Party Guests

Booked a room for my best friends wedding which was on site. From the get go things seemed a little shakey. A few of the bridesmaids and the mother of the bride called to make sure they had steamer we could borrow for our dresses for us, they promised they had a steamer on site. When we go there, different story. The dresses would have to be sent out and there was no steamer on site. Luckily we could iron them but it took a lot longer than we anticpated. When I checked in and said I was there for a wedding on site, the girl looked so shocked that there was a wedding in two days there. Meanwhile, there were gift bags at the front desk that were suppose to be given as we checked in but weren't. When the bride called and asked for them to be sent to our rooms, they weren't. We ended up getting them on our way to the airport from the bell hop. Shuttle drivers and restaurant staff were all great, but the front desk and people running the place were no where near resort quality that they boast about on their website and promo materials.

Family weekend

Didn't spend much time in the room, but the room was very clean and we had a wonderful time. The 24-hour shuttle to the casino was amazing and helpful when my parents wanted to go back to the hotel and my brother and I wanted to continue playing.

Wedding Party Member Disappointed

Went to the Grand Traverse as a bridal party member for a NYE wedding. From the get go the front desk staff was below par. While my room was ready a few hours early they seem completely suprised that I was a wedding party member or that there was even a wedding about to take place at their hotel. When booking my room left notes saying what I was in for. Bride also discussed with them mutiple times that there were good bags to be sent to the room, I got them as I was headed to the airport after the wedding. Before heading up multiple people called and were told there was a steamer for our dresses, when I got there, was told that no steamer existed and that they could send the dresses out and they may be back in time for the wedding. Also while the rooms are comfortable, they are dated and the walls are very thin, partly due to connecting doors on both sides of the room. Bar tenders and shuttle drivers were all great, but the same can not be said for the rest of the staff.

Good stay

I stayed in the hotel rooms, which were a little outdated, but everything worked perfectly. The beach requires a shuttle, so can be a little waste of time to get there and come back. The health club is perfect, don´t miss dinner at Aerie, amazing view!

Weekend Family Celebration

It was very nice although we didn't get to spend as much time at the resort as we would have liked due to previous arrangements. It was clean and the staff was very friendly at check-in and check-out. It looked like there was a lot to do there and activities in the evening to entertain.

Interlochen graduation

Very comfy, firm mattresses; quiet room; gorgeous surroundings. The Resort is located in Acme, far eastern side of T City. But we were in the area for graduation at Interlochen Academy of the Arts, which is southwest of T City. Consequently, we had to traverse the entirety of Traverse City to get back and forth from Interlochen. Takeaway: if you're going for Interlochen, stay somewhere else, closer to Interlochen.
