Needs Work

Windows without screens, lobby restroom out of order, hotel staff and the fire department had a hard time figuring out why the fire alarm went off at 1:00 a.m., carpets ripped up from walkways and not replaced. Place needs work. Great location to Portland which is a great little city. We will stay somewhere else next time.

Rodeway Inn

The property was very nice, clean and the staff polite. The queen bed was very comfortable but the fitted sheet did not fit the mattress and was a source of irritation. The pillows were flat and very poor, The front clerk provided extar pillows and was gracious about it. The breakfast was POOR at best. There were no hot waffles, simply cereal, milk,OJ, bread for toast and a package muffin item. Otherwise the place was great.

Governer's Retaurant and Bakery have excellent food, the service was poor and slow, very under staffed but also very convenient on a rainy night when you can walk across the parking lot.

No frills

The price was right for the area. The hotel was under rnovation. The place smelled musty and there was black mold on the shower ceiling. The staff was unavailable during check out and I made it to South Carolina before I could finally contact a staff member that I had checked out.

Nice place, lazy people.

Convenient location for the Portland Jetway! The rooms were nice and very comfortable but the front desk staff was very lazy. I had to make two phone calls to find the morning person and he looked like he just crawled out of bed. Then he refused to give me any kind of receipt and said I could call someone else. When I assured him I would he told me I was rude and giving receipts just wasn't something he could do.

Don't waste your money!

Staff was very friendly. Hallway to the room smelled like acrid, stale cigarette smoke. The room smelled, moldy and musty and had a damp feel to the carpet and room. The shower head handle was broken and had to be hand-held to take a shower. The shower curtain leaked, the water went through it leaving the bathroom floor with almost a half inch of water on it. The bedsheets had mold stains on them. We will not stay at a Rodeway Inn again. Ever!

good stay

We just stayed one night, to go see a concert in Downtown Portland. It was a nice hotel, relatively close to where we were going. The rooms were clean, the front desk staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. Oh, and cheap! Good deal all around.
