Awesome hideaway!

Great welcome, quick sign in and out. Nice open lobby with a fire for keeping warm. Warm cookies upon arrival. The pool was clean and inviting and both the pool and hot tub were nice and warm. Poolside was warm enough to be comfortable and sit and read. Hallway outside our room was a bit noisy as there were lots of little hockey players on-site, but inside the room was nice. Bed was extremely comfortable. breakfast was awesome and complete. Couldn't have asked for more. Desk clerk was extremely friendly. So much better than the Wyndham we stayed at the month before and a lot less money with more bang for your buck.

Great hotel at an affordable price

Friendly staff, upscale room for this price level, outstanding breakfast. We used it as a half-way stop to northern Maine. Easy access from I-95, lots of chain restaurants close by. Only problem was that there is not enough insulation in the walls and you can hear people in the hall and the next room. It's not awful but I'm a light sleeper.

Great place to stay!

Great location, right across a perimeter road from the Maine Mall. Can walk if you want to. Tons of stores and more restaurants than you can shake a stick at! Only about 5 miles from downtown Portland and maybe 2 from the Portland Jetport. The accommodations were very clean with nice appointments, and reasonably priced. The bed was one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept on. I used the pool and jacuzzi. Both were great. They serve a really nice breakfast in the mornings and they have a coffee/tea bar in the lobby going all night, I think. I used it around 11:00 p.m. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I needed help one evening with my TV and a staff member came right upstairs to fix the problem. I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely return!

Average hotel but good price

Although the staff was friendly and helpful, there were repairs needed in the room. Burned out lights, slow drains, those type of repairs should have been taken care of prior to arrival. The bed sizes were also not the best. The double bed was more like a twin size. Not made for 2 people!!! The breakfast was good, but the area for the buffet was inadequate. During the busy breakfast hours, there was always a line, so installing another waffle maker would make sense, since this seemed to be the most popular item on the buffet. It was also hard to find the hotel, with very few signs. It took several trips around the area before we located it. We do enjoy Hampton Inns and always try to stay in one when traveling. It's just the little things that sometimes make the visit less than pleasing.

Hampton Inn Portland

My stay was very relaxing here, with friendly n helpful staff, cozy environment. It was quite fully booked for some wedding function n family reunions, but everyone enjoyed themselves in the lobby! As usual, breakfast was good. My King size room was spacious n nice, comfortable bed too. I booked for 1 nite, but decided to extend another nite, the staff tried to secure a room for me. Finally the next day, the manager confirmed my stay n gave me a good rate! The airport shuttle bus was appreciated. I think there is self laundry on the site but I had not tried. Across the street are shopping malls n restaurants to choose from. Malls close about 9pm weekdays but closed by 6pm on Sunday. There is Apple store in the mall near Macy's

Good location

The room was kind of tight with too much furniture but comfortable none the less. Microwave and fridge were helpful as we stayed two days. Coffee/tea and hot cocoa in the lobby 24/7 was great. Designated smoking area was a patio with tables and chairs and plants/flowers under the shade of trees...very pleasant and right outside the back door. Our favorite feature was that there was an unbelievable array of different types of restaurants within a mile or two of the location, easy to get too.
