Swim or soak in the hot tub after a day of shopping at Maine Mall
The little, yellow, two-story hotel off I-95 is a beacon of low prices at the Days Inn South Portland Airport. The hotel sits 10 minutes from downtown Portland and the rugged Maine coast, where guests can see lighthouses, seals and islands reachable by ferry. Great place to stay to catch an early flight
Clean, comfortable, shuttle was on time and everyone of the employees was very friendly and helpful. A call before we turned in to make certain the room was suitable was an unexpected little extra niceness.

My trip to Portland
Easy check in, very pleasant and helpful staff as well as a comfortable room. Location near the Maine Mall, other shopping and many restaurants was a big plus.I would certainly stay there again.

Over night weather avoidance
The hotel was clean, inexpensive and close to everything. Employees were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great. Everything we could have asked for and we were transported to the airport by the hotel shuttle which was also clean and efficient.

Just ok
For a Days inn i expected it to be a little bit cleaner and more updated and fresh. Look like it has not been remodeled since it opened. Overall it was ok. I would only stay there in case of an emergency or if i were extremely price conscious. It was bearable but not somewhere i would choose to stay a second time. However, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was GREAT.

Adequate ... But needs an update badly
Internet was down for hours so had difficulty getting boarding passes. A manager was helpful and printed out on her lap top but it took about 2 hours till I got it. Rooms and bath needed an update . Clean to a point .. But got bitten up by mosquito"/ during the night. Main lobby is nice ... Chck the rooms out . Don't be filled by the nice lobby. Staff tried tol be really nice. Close to airport which is why we stayed there.

"Simple Gifts" , cimfortable & economical
Excellent location (next to exit 45 of Interst. 95, next to a nice mall & couple of good restaurants, with direct access to U.S. 1 and route 77, leading to lovely beeches, state park, famous lighthouse and fine restaurants like Garofalo's ( at Higgins beach ) and (alas, fast food style cafeteria ) The Lobster shack, just outside Two Lights State Park. Portland, Maine is a lovely town with a lively art museum a remarkable old harbor, full of shops, restaurants and with boat docks for marine cruises. Very recommended and not too far from from N.H. & Boston.
